Meanwhile, I'm also hoping that those vets in the know will be able to report the spoilers before us newer to the CLANNAD scene will be reading the post. |

Hmmm, to go a little off-topic...
I nominate FatPianoBoy as a mod. My frequent jibes at him aside, I think we need dedicated sentinels like him around, especially in the sub-forum of a particularly spoiler-vulnerable series as CLANNAD (TV) is. It makes sense to give people like him, who can catch spoilers faster than the regular mods sometimes, some sort of power to actually deal with spoilers, instead of simply negging the culprit. Back on-topic, if it's approximately 11pm here right now in Singapore as of this post, what time should I expect a new episode of CLANNAD to air every week? |

Have a look for your timezone in that link above. As for whether it's SS-Eclipse or just Eclipse, I don't think it matters. Either or, both groups do awesome jobs with whatever they touch. And this is assuming they are picking up this series this season (i.e. because they already have Hayate no Gotoku still on their plates). |

Hmm... comments on the first episode.
I don't recall 'her' first words to 'him' being 'that'... but then again, I'm pretty much forgotten 90% of what I played in the beginning part. But I really liked the way the whole 'light back my dark, pale angst world' thing played out. It reflected well the prior ~unclear~ aspect of Tomoya's angst in the beginning. And kudos to Kyoto Animation on how they animated the dictionary. It felt 'heavy', which is something often ignored in a world of speed lines and cheap animation tactics. Though, I've got to say...wooden table LOL? I haven't completely bought Nakamura yet since in the aspect of character chemistry and interaction, it's still ZONE I but I suppose he's quite good on a casual and solitary base. The rest are pretty much spot-on, though Nakahara sounded... less...airy...I think, which is a good thing.

I mod on a few other forums, so maybe it's just a habit. I don't think giving me any mod powers would be necessary... everyone knows how to use the report button, right? |

Oh, and btw...
SPECTATOR'S VIEW = WIN. So is Nagisa's father. As expected...It's hard to take Tomoyo completely seriously even more so in anime, but alas, that's her charm... I suppose. Overall, if you ask me, it's a good start. Akio and Sunohara made me smile, and there's a lot of potential in chemistry.

currently "dying" for part B.
My first impressions are VERY positive, and this is from a total CLANNAD newbie. just as a little disclaimer: "summaries" are hardly accurate with me. many interpretations etc. so if you read them, don't take them seriously ^^' Episode 1: Summary and screencaps Final thoughts: I rarely watched a starting series episode giving everything required: a very immersive mood, empathic characters, daily and usual situations, and nice interactions. As a CLANNAD newbie, i can't judge the adaptation, but this episode was heartwarming for me, screaming for a 10 already in my books. If i add the superb quality for either sakuga/animation and the tracks/seiyuu, it is a spectacular "episode 1". Definitely looking foward for the next episode ! EDIT: screencaps are up, summary has been reworked with subs.
