well finally caught up on this, had only read 7 chapters before my computer had died few months back.

I haven't read anything since chapter 13, I've been wanting to let a lot of chapters build up before I get into it again. How's it going atm? Getting better? Steady or worst?

i would say like every shonen.
predictable and slowly getting worst at least imho.
better off reading something else.

I don't know, i've real 27 chapters so far and i've got to say, dispite the typical male lead in the story, i'm really intrested on how the plot plays out. I'm quite curious about the wolrd of psyren. plus the powers in the series are kind of intresting.

Just to give a different opinion, as long as you can get over the fact that it has(d) a lot of resemblance to gantz and matrix, you might enjoy it.

I have actually stopped reading psyren because of that resemblance at the beginning, then after a few months wanted to give it a try to see how it went, and I am a bit surprised at the end, in the positive way. I actually did get over that connection, and started seeing some kind of uniqueness within it.

well good for me that I never bothered reading Gantz then

but I never like making connections or comparions between series, doesn't make for good reading or watching

I share a similar opinion, but this one was an exception. It forcibly pushed that fact into my mind, so there was hardly any escape for me to begin with.

I think Psyren is pretty good. The PSI system is interesting, and we only know the basics. The future world and present world has a lot of mystery surrounding it. I haven't read Gantz so I can't compare the two, but so far I think Psyren is pretty good.

100% gantz like, and gantz has one of those genre where once you read one and you had enough so I am not going to catch up with this. Have enough light novel to keep up with anyways.

Well decided to check out some chapters and didn't stop until I hit 39 . Thought it was pretty interesting in terms of how the story is unfolding. Besides some pretty nice characters especially Amamiya .

Crazy girls are always good . I heard this was getting low ratings, even though the last couple of chapters have been pretty good.

Nothing wrong with a little crazy to be sure . Besides have found it interesting with her showing a calm side, silly side, and very crazy side. Thought its been revealing some interesting parts of the story lately. Maybe its been from reading 39 chapters in a row, but I'm pretty into it now.

Another solid chapter. I've really been looking forward to this manga lately.

Spoiler for up to chap 42:

I always ALWAYS like to see this kinda thing: The Wise being the strongest people in that world and Ageha going against one, despite not being at their level( or so I thought). When one of the chapters ended with them showing a tape of the past, and they showed Elmoire's children, I'd of sworn that THEY were the Wise. Then to see them get killed w/o a hitch was kinda sad. Now Ageha gets to have his revenge, or at least a taste of it, but even if that Wise doesn't get killed(which is likely this kind of manga), since he lost both his arm and leg/foot, he's not gonna forget what happened to him this day.
