Besides, that fight has one of my favorite parts.. where Sakura gets squashed by the super-gaara thing and almost dies.. That fight's not gonna be here for at least 5 episodes or so, we have Kankurou vs Shino and Gaara vs Sasuke first. It also seems that the Sandaime vs Orochimaru battle has priority over the others.

1/Using the summon of the God of Death, the 3rd beats the First and the 2nd by tearing off the souls of their reanimated bodies.

2/Then begins a close combat against Oro, the 3rd tears off the sword of the hands of Oro and starts to catch Oro's soul, but Oro handling his sword by telekinesis, projects it in the back of the 3rd and transpierces him despite of the deseperate attempt of Enma.
Little chat between the two opponent :
Konoha will be crushed!
no even if I die i will take you with me!
No!
Yes!
Bitch! etc.

3/Then, scene of the war in the village, the Leaf's ninjas can't handle the 3 big Snakes when suddenly a gigantic frog appears out of nowhere, crushing one of the snake with the all mighty Jiraiya on the top of his head.

4/Change of scene, in the forest Sasuke catches up once again with Gaara and Kankuro.
The end.

Maybe the anime will not cover all that.
At least the anime will cover the points 1 and 2, I think it will cover the point 3 and maybe the point 4 if there aren't too many filler.

edit : anyway this episode has the capacity to be the best of all the series.

Episode 73 Review:

Wow...for the past few weeks it seems as if the animation has actually been getting progressively better and better as the plot heats up. I'll continue that train of thought in a sec...

Well, this episode was basically broken up into three distinctive parts. First of all, It continued, but didn't end the Oro vs. Third fight as I thought it would. But, when you think about it, since the various fights were going on at the same time in the manga, they couldn't really end this fight now without screwing the timeline up. So, Third summoned the "Death God" and proceeded to take out the First and the Second...then he went for Oro. Oro put up a fight, and impaled Third on a sword...true to manga form. Their fight ended with Oro freaking out and telling third that he won't die like that. So, it's pretty much left at a standoff.

In between this fight we were treated to the war's progression on the village. There were two fronts here: Jiraiya showed up and proceeded to stomp some snake butt with a frog summom. It wasn't Gamabunta.

And we were treated to some more of Kohohomaru's class being evacuated.

After this we cut to the Sasuke chase. He caught up to Gaara/Kankuro...Temari also returns. Kankuro tells Temari to take Gaara and run, she does. Sasuke prepares to fight Kankuro...but...

In the most badass 3 minutes of talking Naruto's ever had, Shino shows up and tells Sasuke to go after Gaara while he takes care of Kankuro. Oh my god, this whole sequence was just the definition of badass. It basically consists of Sasuke (who never seems to stop smirking during this) and Shino (who you can just feel the smirk from, even if you can't see it) conversing. Shino says he's gonna fight Gaara. Sasuke asks him if he'll be ok. Shino replies "Don't worry, I'm a badass" and Sasuke flies off to whomp on some Gaara. Then Kankuro and Shino do some badass poses and the episode ends with them facing off.

I seem to say this every week nowadays, but BEST EPISODE YET! Just excellently animated, and some of the things they did with camera angles and fadeouts was just excellent. If you don't like this episode, there is no hope, plain and simple.

But, to tell you the truth, since the beginning I expected the Shino/Kankuro fight to be the "bad animation" episode in this batch, simply because it's not a very important fight at all. So I was looking forward to the preview so I could catcha glance of the fight...

...Imagine my surprise that neither Kankuro nor Shino show up in the preview at all! I guess their fight won't last long at all because the preview shows the beginnings of the Sasuke vs. Gaara fight and it looks AMAZING. It seriously looks like OVA quality next week, and the preview music is awesome. Next week looks to be one of the best episodes yet.

So far this whole story arc has been right on the money, exactly like the manga, aside from teh little bits of filler and Temari/Sasuke's fight, so in theory, next episode will have all of Kankurou and Shino's fight (its not very long even in the manga), the start of Sasuke/Gaara facing off, and a quick look at the situation between Oro and Sandaime.

Thats if it sticks to the manga. Aside from filler with Naruto's chase group, I cant see where they can add anything. They could easily make a misleading preview out of the contents of next weeks ep though.
