After reading the chapter for myself, it'd seem that Fujitaka and Sakura's mother are just the equivalent souls to Japan's Sakura's parents from clow country. Again, nothing to get grossed over, they are just same souls, different people.

However, in the first clow world we saw in TRC there was a clow country with clow himself as a king... was that Clow country a Clow clone by Fei wang reed now? A trick by clow himself? Indeed, many things would explain themselves if the clow country we are seeing right now was a different clow country to the one we know.

Maybe everything would be more easy to understand if you just assume that Clamp is lazy in the character design department and uses the same people over and over

yea didn't yuuko say that they would meet people that seemed to have the same souls like when syoran met a younger version of what he thought of as his dad? maybe it's like that?

Yeah, she bascially said that (and it's been stated frequently) that when traveling between dimension, you will meet people who look like ones you know, yet they won't be the same person no matter how similar they are in the end. So while it's a bit creepy that Shaoran will fall in love with a girl who looks exactly like his mom, technically he is not in love with his mother. Just a girl who looks like her and probably has the same personallity (still shudders)

Brainbreaking possibility: Yuuko is Junior's father. Disguised, obviously.

Because apparently, Junior's knowledge of "hitsuzen" comes from him...

It's starting to look like there are two Clow countries. Maybe the first one we saw only existed in Clone Shaoran's memories.

ooh god do i have a headache!! after not reading trc for a year I come back and I'm soooo confused!!!
But I do have an interesting theory that "might" make some sense of the whole Syaoran and Sakura weirdness.

I think that maybe the real Syaoran, sent from present day Japan by his CCS parents, might instead be Clow country's Syaoran and isn't actually CCS's Syaoran and Sakura's son. If, I'm theorizing a lot here so please bear in mind that I could be completely wrong, CCS's Sakura saw the future of Clow country in which something really bad happened to Clow country's Syaoran and Sakura (thereby preventing them from being together) she and CCS's Syaoran might have somehow taken Clow country's Syaoran to present day Japan to keep him safe (from Fei Wong?). So, technically TRC's Syaoran is just the Syaoran of an alternate dimension and he was raised by the alternate dimension of Syaoran and Sakura (from CCS). Which, would mean that TRC's Syaoran (from Clow country) is NOT CCS's Syaoran and Sakura's child!!! Which, would eradicate the disturbing, "You look like my mother and have the exact same name and we're destined to be together" relationship between Sakura and Syaoran.

And before some of you shoot holes into my theory, I should remind you of how the last few 10 chapters have revealed similar structures where someone (ie. Tomoyo, Sakura, Fai etc) knew beforehand through a dreamvision of an impending disaster and made an exchange with Yuuko long before the first chapter of TRC to prevent it. So, I wouldn't be so surprised to see CCS's Syaoran and Sakura doing something like that too.

And personally, I wonder the odds of CCS's Syaoran and Sakura's child ending up looking EXACTLY like Syaoran!! not only would that be kind of disappointing (in terms of character design) but also incredibly weird.

What do you guys think? Never in my life has a manga storyline gotten me so confused! It's like doing organic chemistry in terms of quantum physics!!!

But, somewhat considering that it's Clamp I'm not really surprised! Lol... they have always been known to have the weirdest and twisted storylines.
I just hope that Clamp eventually does explain everything and clearly, even if it means my theory being wrong. because if they just end it at CCS's Syaoran and Sakura's son, Syaoran junior, being destined to be together with his mother look-alike, regardless of them having different souls.. that might just be a little too much for me to bear

Ahh.. and to add more to the confusion. I think that Watanuki could very well be Clow Reed from alternate dimension, which might explain the whole Syaoran and Watanuki "being closer than anyone else" considering that Syaoran is the descendent of Clow. I haven't read or seen XXXholic so I don't know much about Watanuki but the way they've been portraying his character in TRC and the way he looks (somewhat like a younger Clow don't you think?) makes me think of that possibility.

One part that got me really confused was how TRC's Syaoran said that he paid a price "to rewrite that part of history." But what part of history is he talking about? I thought that after he was captured and cloned he was imprisoned by Fei Wong until his escape in the Tokyo arc? and when he escaped he went immediately to Clone Syaoran to take back the other half of his heart so when did he rewrite history and what part of history did he mean?

I mean it would make sense seeing as how CCS sakura's alternate version is a princess, so thus her parents' alternate versions would be the king and queen of that country, except for the freakin fact that in the beginning the alternate version of clow was shown to be TRC sakura's father and TRC fujitaka is shaoran's father! Man clamp has got a lot of explaining to do! I understand that his mother, CCS Sakura, sacrificed her star wand to have Syaoran be sent to the Clow country.. But where exactly did he get captured? Before or after the event where he is talking with Yuuko? And what was the price he paid to Yuuko to have his time turned back?
