Pfftt... It'll never top FS1, that was the real MVP.

Oh nice, I recognize that IntelliJ IDE from a mile away. Even using the dark theme.

But why are they still using Windows xp . It doesn't even get security updates anymore. I guess that info someone told me was correct about them developing games on Windows xp is true with even games like neptunia being ported to PC on a Windows xp computer. I think if they just switched to unreal or unity, they would make better games instead of making so many in-house proprietary engines
I don't think they are using windows xp, the interface is kind of flat-ish like windows 10 and if you take a notice at the taskbar, you will see it does not look XP-ish

I think they are using windows 10 or at least 8.1 (8 does not have the start button IMO)

It's like they kind of mixed 7 and 10. The start button design is still round like with 7, instead of square and tilted like 8.1 and 10. But the color design of the button is all white like with 8.1 and 10

The taskbar in 10 is black and internet explorer doesn't exist in 10. Also, look at the other side of the taskbar where the icons are and the title bar of the programs being run. I don't think it looks very seven-ish but it could be.

Company receipts... now, that makes me think of my own job. Anyway, a pretty cute episode, though using Nenecchi for the emotional moment didn't feel like the best choice to me, but whatever.

Also, it might be the chibi style, but I always pictured FS3 as a portable game (even though they've always tested it in a PC/Console...)

I have just watched Episode 3 and... it somehow felt much heavier than I expected.
The desk-level job Aoba and most of the girls in Eagle Jump isn't something that I experienced before, and I have my own demons when it comes to entering a company or taking a desk job in general. From the environment (jealous co-workers and corporate-level bullies) to the work involved (taking twice as long as average in a particular piece of work plus absurd and inconsiderate deadlines) to the boss itself (can fire you for the most unrelated things), work just seems like an easy way to shave off half your lifespan out of stress. The episode somehow made me feel those fears again.

It's weird. I have watched Servant x Service and I didn't feel this kind of fear, but maybe it's because SxS deals with lighter stuff than New Game, which doesn't hesitate in showing a little reality behind the gags. New Game gets a positive point for me for that, but now I'm feeling that this show is hitting me close to home a bit harder than I thought.

Episode 11:
Damn, I'm so hyped to see Fairies Story 3 released after it was finished on this episode!

Meanwhile, Hifumi-sempai shouldn't just cosplay at the Tokyo Game Show or she might get spotted by her co-workers. Then again, would it be better if she dress up as a character from Fairies Story 3.

Watched episode 11:

Ohh, so Hifumi sempai is a talented cosplayer. In the language of our local community here in our country, what happened is a "photo bomb" - it's what we call the situation when a cosplayer is so good that 5 or more photographers go to take his / her pic. Aoba should have seen sempai, would have been a nice surprise for her.

Hmm, and they have a good rpg game there. I like how they sort of replaced the usual anime intro with the intro from Fairies Story 3.

So who gets the English license for New Game? I'm casting the English dubs atm based on my very limited knowledge of English seiyuu.

Torn between Sarah Wiedenheft and Jad Saxton as Aoba though.

Episode 12 (finale)

Good series overall but not great. I mean, it's a slice of life comedy so I wasn't expecting that much.

However, the show itself was entertaining every week with Aoba and her office adventures. Plus, the finale gave her and Yagami a nice moment at the end which is quite fitting considering that it's Yagami that inspired Aoba to get involved in the gaming industry.

And oh God, that AD at the end is priceless. There's still an fan service OVA to look forward to ;o

Yeah, a fun show like pretty much all the manga time kirara shows have been. It was always pleasant to watch and the characters were nice.

Yes. Stay for the sequence after the end credits, that was comedy gold!

Nenecchi... stop talking in public!

Cruyff (odd spelling) is the big guy from the party? I knew Karen and Connor's names from this chapter of the manga, but the game was never explored in any detail there, so I'm very curious about everyone. We never even knew the composition of the hero's party before.

Aw, I wanted to learn the redhead's name.

I'm really glad Doga Kobo put the effort into getting the moment between Aoba and Ko done right. There's heartwarming here that, when done well, could be really powerful. I'm glad they pulled it off.

The little police video at the end is hilarious.

She looks like someone from some later manga chapters:
Spoiler for chapter 38:

yess they kept the bonus part with the video camera, still made me laugh as hard as in the manga it's just a cute girl walking on with an assault gun, see police officier its safe for ladys alone at night with something like that

they warped it up nicely i'm totally satisfied with every decision the animation studio made.

hope to see a s2 soon as we pretty much have enough manga material for it if we count the spinoff
