Who knew Wang Ben's Dad was the Dread Pirate Roberts?

Qiang Lei is just awesome! She should be the star of this show! She has it all. Beauty, brains, strength, compassion, and humbleness. If this show was closer to reality, she would probably be a general before Xin, disregarding the gender factor.

Its is funny how the Wei general questions if there is one person with brains in the 16,000 army of Qin, and it is Qiang Lei who is the only one. I guess she will be instrumental in fighting back Li Mu later on.

But as predicted, Xin did come in between the fight between Wang Ben and Lun Hu, even if indirectly. It looks like Xin might score a big achievement next week in defeating one of the heavenly kings.

I agree that Qiang Lei is awesome, but you can't discount Xin's charisma. That's what makes him a great leader. Actually, that's why it's so great they are a team. And it's not really that kind of show, but I would like them to get together romantically eventually too.

Anyways, the battle is really heating up and this was an awesome episode. Love to see the war chariots getting involved now. Seems that we are going to see Xin get some really good moments in this battle too, especially so he can live up to the requirements Meng Ao gave him to remain a 1000 man general.

oh yeah.....great episode, Wang Ben fought well against Lun Hu
I want episode 20 now!!!!!
because the Mountain men are fighting next

regarding Xin Strategy:

Chu Shui, Yuan, Qiang Lei and Xin all have small units (I say a mixture of Mounted/Foot Soldiers of 250 each), they attack as a individual unit but when Xin raises a flag they move towards him and attack as one....is that correct?

yes, instead of making new Strategy without time to train on it >
they just fight as they used to before the merge.
(only attack as 1000 when Xin raise the flag)

anyway on ep 20> Xin got trolled soooo hard

Old Military Saying....

never turn your back to the enemy,
you might get killed...

damn he missed

if only Wang Ben helped Xin to thrown a spear as well, they should’ve kept going
until Xuan Feng was dead.
A missed opportunity.

Very excited for this team up between the rivals and curious what Meng Tian's plan will be. I do hope they ultimately have some success and render achievements for the three units as they discussed.

The scene when they were talking in the tent was great - love seeing their three very different personalities/outlooks on display.

It was convenient that Qiang Lei had to help out the troops and not participate in the epic battle, since if she joined in, Lan Hu will not stand a chance against all 3 (Xin, Wang Ben, and Qiang Lei). However, with her absence, it allows Xin a chance to grow and become even more powerful. I don't think Xin will be able to defeat Lan Hu one on one, but I'm sure he will be the one that kills Lan Hu with Wang Ben's assistance.

After this battle, Xin will, hopefully, fulfill the requirement to remain as 1000 men general. Wang Qi's lance will probably be in use when Xin is a full fledged general, although it will be difficult for Xin to let go of that sword.

He can always have both equipped. Looks like Wang Ben has three (?) swords that we haven't seen him use.

I agree completely about Qiang Lei bit - was kind of convenient for Lun Hu's sake. I do hope Xin gets the kill and is acknowledged for it.

I never watched Season 1 because CGs sucks! So I jumped to Season 2 and it's a little suck now. Better than Season 1's animation though.

Season 1 animation is bad at first, but it improves later on. Around the mid teens, the CG animation improves, and by the end of the series, the animation is quite normal. Keep watching, since the series is really good.

Season 2 animation is different from where season 1 left off, but it is not bad. Only occasionally during certain battle scenes in certain episodes do the CG animation look bad. Overall, the animation is fine.

Damn, I was really hoping Xin would put Lun Hu away during that final burst. They better let him face off again next time, and Xin finishes the job this time.

That was an epic twist at the end. At the start of the episode, I could tell we were going to have a Xin-less plot and was a little disappointed, but boy was I wrong. This was one of the most exciting episodes in a while. Lian Po appearing just completely caught me off guard. Wang Jian is damn intimidating, but I think he's in trouble here… I'm very curious how this will turn out because I don't expect either Lian Po or Wang Jian to be defeated here...

What if Wang Jian anticipated this, and has a back-up plan as well? That would make Wang Jian an equal monster, and that would be a shocker.

Also, I was a little disappointed in not finding out the fallout of Xin, Meng Tian, and Wang Ben little independent actions. They did not successfully kill a general (Lan Hu), but they did significant damage to his personal army and successfully injured Lan Hu. Would that be considered a success or a failure, since there was major losses as well?

I think the answer to that question is subjective but in my opinion it should be ranked as a failure. An opportune failure but a fail none the less.
