Hasebe is becoming more lovable each and every passing second. The interactions between Lucy and Hasebe are comedy gold and help portray them as a likeable/enjoyable couple imo. They complement each other to the point where I think of them as being tied together at the hip. :/

HASEBE X LUCY IS NOW CANNON though I thought she was being ridiculous with the two month thing too... That is a man in love......

Although, this episode didn't make me laugh as much as the previous episodes it was still a great episode nonetheless.
It's pretty much obvious that Hasebe has completely fallen for Lucy. Now, we just have to wait on Lucy. Hopefully, this date will help speed things along. Come on, time skip! Come on, HasebeXLucy!

H-H-Hasebe was pretty moe this week. Oh wow I did not think I'd see him that way. I wish him all the best in his efforts to get through to Lucy.
It's a joke on the show's title itself (I think?) taken from the 'saba' in 'saabanto' (servant). The official twitter hashtag for the anime is #鯖アニメ, literally 'mackerel anime' with the kanji for mackerel (saba). |

Yeah, it's not a best-seller by any means, but it could be much worse.

Really hoping it will time skip to the date next episode, looking forward to seeing Lucy act awkwardly with whatever Chihaya will have prepared for her. I'm also hoping that Lucy will realize soon that Hasebe really likes her and that his feelings for her are genuine, she's so clueless I feel sorry for Hasebe. Granted, it's not like he's properly confessed yet either but him saying he'd start liking her so much it won't even be funny should have served as a pretty obvious hint for her.
I'm also guessing that when/if they start going out for real that Hasebe will introduce her to his parents and the big revelation of Hasebe's dad being the one who approved her name will be unraveled. And really...when will Ichimiya stop being so careless with Chihaya? Naturally work is not the place for things like that but she starts undressing and he almost acts like he's disturbed by her, and he called her by her family name to boot. That's a sure way to get dumped. No comment on Miyoshi and Tanaka. |

Depends, but when you consider that 8000 units is what most 12-episode shows expect to sell during its lifetime, then half of that is a good bet. 1-cour shows that sell more than 30k units per volume are pretty rare -- see Girls und Panzer for a recent example of this.
Working!! I think broke the 8k mark on its first volume for the first season, if that's a comparison to go by.
