Er, anyways, listened to all the clips. I'm surprised with Shannon! But for different reasons than the rest of you. I'm not familiar with her voice actor you see. But I was worried that the voice they would give Shannon would be too breathy/whispery like female characters of her type tend to get. Shannon actually has some SOUND to her voice XD . It's sweet.

Uh, lesse, everyone else sounds like I expected I suppose. Oh yeah! Kumasawa's voice makes me smile. She sounds like a sweet ole grandma from a Miyazaki film or somethign. Ahahaha .

21 might be better, but technically Rosa is a minor at 18 in Japan during that time period. She probably wouldn't be allowed off the island for long enough periods of time to do something like that.

Anyways, yeah, Maria's Kihihi and spooky voice are indeed quite spooky. I'm pleased.

I think she was in middle school in 1967, if we assume that she was in the lowest grade then she would have been about 12 years old at the time. The story takes place about 19 years after that. Which would make her about 31 at the youngest?

Maria was born in 1977, if Rosa was (at the youngest) 12 ten years before that, then she had to have been at least 22 when Maria was born.

... Let's avoid sidetracking the discussion shall we? It isn't like it is important to know the real age to figure if the voice is too young or not. Not exactly the best thread for such speculation either.

Now I'm thinking, if the track played at the first twilight is a rearrange of Golden Slaughterer, I'm thinking they are doing it for a good reason. A good amount of zts tracks actually "stand out" and might drown the voice acting ("World end" is one). If it's the case, I just hope they don't warp dead angle (it sounds good as it is) and worldenddominator out of recognition.

And was it said anywhere that the'll be using some game BGMs directly or are they going to rearrange every game track they are going to use?

Some BGMs have been used directly already. Natsu no Tobira and HANE have both been directly used in the CD.

That was for the drama CD. I'm wondering if they'll use unchanged BGMs for the anime.

I'm also wondering if they'll ever go and make a complete drama cd. But IMO they'll have to finish Higurashi first.

I agree that Jessica's scream and Battler's mourning were fantastic. Same for the Rosa x Maria scene in the garden.

But not one of those can top Kinzo. Damn, that's good acting!

I just hope the animation can live up to the acting.

Did the scene when Krauss showed Natsuhi the gold bar get skipped? It just skipped over to Jessica giving Natsuhi the bracelet.

They skipped scenes in the drama cd. It's just a navigation drama cd after all.

Ohara's voice will be close to that. The Ange did a good job during her red.

Yeah... But I've heard Ohara roles that I liked as Beato. I know she has a wide range, but I tried to choose some characters to listen to that had a sort of Beato-like voice (like Yuuko from xxxHolic).
