2eps in really 1st ep was fun but 2nd eps yea 2nd half yea face reaction of fear http://static.tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pu...-_02__4106.jpg yea does Higurashi When They Cry remind of you & all we need fear to say "nipah" to make more uh-oh.

& yea lots of b-words were on it give wonder who voicing smoker b-words saying lady?

Episode 3 = superb animation and battle scenes. No problem on the way it's been directed. As expected of the staff. And here I thought there won't be fan service on the episode but after the ending song you will see it. Fear is this series version of Index. She is really a collection of torture weapons.

Well that bit after the ED... that had me laughing hard, usually the jokes for me are just blaise but that was actually funny, from a misunderstanding standpoint. Anyway good episode, the first half was excellent, the pacing went to shit in the second half, but it was interesting, still would have preferred something a little more engaging, then just people talking for the sake of talking. Also beach strolling piggy back ride was a little too long for my taste. Still not sure what the tone of the show will be, because that crazy Fiya was pretty insane, whereas the comedy can be funny.

the comedy part was actually needed concerning that Fear actually wanted to become a normal person. She can't become normal if all bad things happen thus school life is needed for her and even the slice of life fan service

I'm talking about the comedy from episode 1 versus the end of episode 3, one was funny the other was not. Having no idea how a washing machine isn't funny, unless you take it to true absurdity of say Don Quixote, and not just a simple not knowing the complete function. Basically they'd have to do it like Aso no Yuichi which wasn't good to begin with.

I think Episode 3 is quite overcooked; I don't like that it made a mini-climax looked like a season finale. The darkness part is going a little too far, too.
The director, Shin Ōnuma, was doing a great job this day, though not excellent. (One must know Ayanami Rei's soloing in EVA?)
He was not doing as great as Hideaki Anno, but better than Akiyuki Shinbo is fair enough.

And the ending song - I can listen to it a dozen times and still not get bored. What can I say ?

If only Fear wasn't a typical moe chara. I don't like the personality change specially this one. Moe to Creepy.
The fight was good , insane. Wish they had more.

Yukarin is certainly quite used to "moe to creepy", I had second thoughts about voicing Fear at first but she seems to be doing very good here, as usual.

Midonin Last Engage Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Florida	Spoiler for C3 - Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas: Pretty hectic episode, but since it had a serious tone, except for the stinger at the end, I don't know how much I'll be able to say. That stinger does prove that the series needs these school life segments for contrast, and to help Fear get closer to her dream of becoming a peaceful anthromorphization of the Hellraiser cube. But for the actual episode, very atmospheric. I like the designs of Fear's gadgets, even if they're the things I usually associate with villains in eroge. The Black Knights from 11eyes had a pretty similar aesthetic sense going on, but they were actually the good guys, and I say this recently coming off a story where a black dragon is controlled by the heroes... Don't judge a box by its cover. A nice cap to what looks like the first part of the series. Now that Haruaki has a better idea of who Fear is, I think he can also have a better idea of how to cure her. Ideally through love. (It's a got a pretty good success rate!)

Spoiler for 03: The animation of this episode is top notch. Specially the weapons when being summoned and use though I have problems in black surrounding fights. Fear is really in messed in this episode. She goes berserk and chop off the hand of the crazy lady then he even attack Haruaki. But Konoha manage to stop her by hitting the box. After that despair upon despair. She ran and even met up with Kirika and also attacked her. She really is alone and even decided to just end up her life. Poor girl. But Haruaki manage to find him and rescue her back. Such a bitter sweet scene while Haruaki was carrying Fear on his back. She's really cute death flag after the ending song Superb episode. Definitely didn't work (and oh the typical light novel protagonist's forgiveness...), but the very end was good. JUST the end. And the connection to the ED was nice. And I don't think a guillotine is a torture device. It's an execution device. Reminds me of that National Geographic(?) episode on torture devices... Well, I guess a guillotine would be a torture device if it failed to cut its target........
