Yes and was used EXTREMELLY GOOD in the anime.

chounokoe we understand your point but there is no way to justify THE TERRIBLE DESICION THAT DEEN MADE IN THIS EPISODE it can't be justify it shows A HORRIBLE DIRECTION it doesn't matter which studio is is just BAD and yes i really believe that other studio will not be as stupid as deen in making decisions or bad directing like chiaki kon, i really hate chiaki kon =(

I missed the person in charge of higurashi rei, hell yes saikoroshi-hen was a very good adaptation.

The person in charge of Rei was the scriptwriter for Higu, HiguKai, and Umineko, so it's not like he's entirely blameless either.

Script writing and directing are two different things.

Script writers just decide what the VA's will be saying. If you look at the anime and compare it to the VN you'll see most of the lines come directly from the VN. The script isn't the issue, it's the pacing and what they decide to shorten or not. Chikai Kon just tells him what is getting cut and what to write

Ok, no red truth was shown in this preview. Dunno if it's just for suspense, but we are talking about Deen.
Ange hugging Battler when he was still standing is somehow off, as he can see whatever will happen with her (getting torn into pieces wasn't shown, of course)
But the best thing was, Thank you for being born + Beato's face and "Watashi wa... dare?"

It seems they might skip/severely shorten the Beato/Maria Golden Land scene to save time, which I think is a good thing at this point.

Also, I was just saying it was rather strange for Battler standing there while being hugged by Ange. I just hope she won't turn into golden buttlerflies and disappear

You know, as much as F/SN was chopped down, at least the action scenes still looked pretty cool. The ones in Umineko just feel amateurish, and considering that the action scenes are the anime's biggest chance to shine (compared to the restrictions on the other types of media), this is a massive disappointment in my book.
