The most recent book I've read is 'Twilight', by Stephenie Meyer. I plan on reading New Moon, and Eclipse soon. They are probally the ONLY romance novels I ever intend on reading. 8D

Of course, the problem with studying a book as a set text is that, I find, it is over-analysed and I can't enjoy it anymore . Or maybe thats just me... |

This is Catcher in the Rye. Yeah, we did it in English too. The book is great and one can relate to Holden Caulfield on multiple levels. The guy's deep and not the shallow person people think he is. Its a shame we did it for English though, we just went over and over it again. But the books great. Oh yeah, currently I am reading Hinterland

Great book, catcher in the rye. Catches all the subtle and ambiguous feelings and ideas you get as a teenager. Haha, it was written in a time where angst hadn't been bastardised as a metonym for emo subculture.
But its definitely worth a read. PS has anyone here read Kafka on the Shore? If so, is it worth reading? |

I just read "Lord of the Isles" by David Drake, forst book in the series. Not the best series I've ever read, but still worth reading, if only to see the developments of Garric and Liane's relationship. I am now reading the second book in the series, "Queen of Demons".

I just finished up the first Haruhi Suzumiya novel in Japanese. While I was able to follow the plot with little-to-no trouble, I know I didn't absorb every single nuance. Still, the constant sarcastic commentary on the part of the narrator is fantastic. Now if I could just learn to read Japanese as fast as the characters talk in the TV adaptation...
