I doubt it's anything like that, since the players can decide who dies.

I ment in the Official Comic book. they said bill is the one who ultimately dies. meaning its the canon death.

Im sure he was very herioc when he did so. He is the eldest and let the youngsters live since they got a life ahead of them (whats left of it anyway)

I sincerely hope they add the option for using both sets of characters in the L4D2 version of No Mercy. I hate most of the L4D2 cast...

Well I suppose Bill being a grouchy old man type guy might very well see it that way. No reason letting somebody significantly younger than him die when he doesn't have much time in the world left.

Doubt that.

Bill probably was under the impression he would get evac or get covering fire from the group while they got to the bridge. They mistakenly thought that he gave himself up so they just stayed there while he died.

That's what happens when you don't communicate properly with your teamates.....grrrrr

So it takes place at the last map in L4D1 , good fight .
Now we have Louis's backstory , 2days before infection . Huh he got injured and didn't turn off a Zombie ? Edit : I forgot that there were immune

Last month, Valve announced "The Sacrifice" downloadable content, which would ambitiously be released for both Left 4 Dead and Left 4 Dead 2. Today, the company finally made the plans concrete, giving word that the packs will hit on October 5. They will be free on the PC/Mac versions of the game, and 560 Microsoft points ($7) on the Xbox 360. The DLC will be available for both games as separate packs, but 360 owners should just buy one or the other, since the move is meant to accommodate all players rather than provide separate content.

The pack stars heroes of the first game in a cross-over with those from the second game, and will explain the death of a character as established in The Passing. Players can also go off-script and sacrifice one of the other three characters instead. It will contain stages in Campaign, Versus, and Survival modes, plus it will add the No Mercy campaign from the first game into the second. For those seeking closure from the previous story arc, this will be necessary reading.

Well sucks for the soldiers. I don't care about most of them, but feel bad for those two that went to the holdout point. Even with the tips they learned, they just wouldn't be able to make it by themselves. Of course they couldn't really go since they can't keep the masks on forever and if they don't luck out into being carriers they will just turn themselves. Might as well go down fighting.

Some nice action though. Pretty insane moment with the witch walking by .

Not me, both versions worked fine. I prefer it in L4D1 because of the feel and the zombies are in military uniforms while in the L4D2 version it's a regular mix of zombies.
