I was wondering how many episodes there are in total....5?...and i was also wondering will they continue to make more episodes anytime soon?

I believe that as of this writing, there are a total of 7 episodes that have aired in Japan (most recent aired today) and they intend to keep making more episodes at a rate of 1 each week, until there are a total of 23 episodes.

And if that isn't what you mean to ask, then you shouldn't be asking the question.

Amazing episode. Ril versus zombie robots was simply made of total win and awesome.

Spoiler:

It looked very good, even though Ril's character design was just a bit inconsistent with previous episodes. The key animator who did the fight animation must have had his own specific style, which is slightly different than the canonic Ril. Also, the fight looked very "Studio 4C"-style.

PS: Vincent still kept his eyes open. Going for a record here? 8)

Isn't Ril just ubercute without that heavy makeup? Granted, she looks dashing in her full goth-girl getup, but she gets too agressive with it sometimes, and seeing Ril in her "natural state", all fragile and vulnerable, is very refreshing.

If you listen to the conversation between Raul and Kristeva, you will figure out how did Raul get hold of Cogito Virus (very crude but effective), also about the origin of the boat, and Romdeau previous involvement with the Mosco Dome. Raul sums it up in a proverb 毒を食らわば皿まで.

does anyone else find it odd that, when this show started at least ( ep1-2 ), RE-L seemed like the main character? But now it seems to be fairly obvious that Vincent Law is the main character? I don't mind, I like Vincent a lot. But it's odd that they started out so closely following RE-L and now seem to have switched to Vincent. If Vincent was going to be the main character ( I mean, after Proxy, he's the first character we see in the opening titles ), then wouldn't it have been better to follow him more closely in ep1-2?

aside from that, **** are really taking their time with ep 6 & 7......

I watched the raws, but I don't understand everything, so i need a sub!!!

anyhow, what are the actual text characters for ergo and monad? (in that lineup i mean... sorry to ask a japanese language question) how are you getting that one is ergo and the other is monad?? also, why does that character lineup not list the mayor/grandfather or any of the refugees such as queen??

If you watch it again, everything revolves around Vincent but he was kind of in the background because they didnt want to reveal too much.

I think most of the people thought Ril was the main character because she's a babe. 8)

But the previous poster was correct. Episode 1 devoted as much time to Vince as to her.

The characters are kana. It just says their names. Monad Proxy, Ergo Proxy, Vince, Pino, Ril, Iggy, Daedalus, Guattari, Deleuze, Raul, Kristeva, two AR's, Dorothy.

Because this is the initial lineup. The refugees come much later and would spoil the fact that action takes place outside of the Dome.

I need to watch episode 7 again to totally understand the artificial womb scene, and I'm not sure whether it was the government or just Raul and the Security Agency responsible, but... AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH! She's obviously not DEAD dead; she's the second main character, after all. I have to agree that Zombie Autoreiv Lil/Ril/Real/Re-L is the most likely possibility; however, we've seen no mention of brainwave transference or anything like that, and this show is far too careful to let a deus-ex-machina (no pun intended) like that to occur I'd think. Watching this show is like doing revision for me; I have massively important (i.e. entire degree determining) exams coming up and so much of the stuff I'm covering in a couple of my philosophy papers comes into play; Dai Sato's already exploring functionalism and AI philosophy, but I can see him bringing personal identity into this if we do get a Lilbot to be Mahou Shounen Vincent-chan's sidekick (with Pino as the mascot, after all, and "Matte matte!" as the key for transformation) To re-iterate - AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!

The fading away of the "A" was a nice touch, although I still refuse to accept her name as Real, it shows the whole blurring of boundaries between human and machine and what not... But to mirror BluWacky: AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHH! This probably means one of the following (though it is, by no means, an exhaustive list) 1. Ril was an autoreiv, or semi-autoreiv from the start 2. All citizens born in Romdo have got a production number since they are sort of processed 3. Daedalus faked that part on her certificate. But how did the A/- thing appear there anyway? It's a digital display, yet it seems as if someone rubbed out the A... it's kind of weird. Unless that's how all such things are displayed -there's some hidden letter somewhere. Or perhaps beings can make the transition from autoreiv <-> human, and both have 'production numbers', except that one letter gets replaced in the change, and the replacement is shown as a faded letter on their official documents. Freakman Senior Member Join Date: Mar 2004	My thoughts on episode 7 Spoiler: It's obvious Daedalus faked Re(a)l's death, because according to what they say, Raul is actually responsible for using the Cogito virus as a weapon (or did I hear that wrong ?). And since the robots' target is Re(a)l, she's better off "dead". The Re-l/real leads me to believe that she's indeed an autoreiv, but then, I guess we'll see that later.
