Supposedly, he passed all tests for becoming a Meister and Veda accepted him (even though there are no records of such test), and you will see him being introduced to the other Meisters in episode 23. As to why Veda accepted him as such, we don’t know as of now.

I have a question, do the pilots of the Freedom and Justice in Gundam SEED have newtype abilities?
I thought newtypes were from a different universe.

They do have extra spatial awareness abilities as mentioned in offcial files and such, but "Newtype" do not exist as a term in contemporary CE jargon...

Fukuda did say that Mu and Rau were the "last Newtypes" in an interview... But no one tends to take his interviews seriously.

Nothing has been said against them not being related, so for now we're to believe they're father and daughter. Pretty sure the official site says the same thing.

What's the name of the BGM that played during episode 7 when Allelujah explained the events of his escape? It was used back in season 1 at the beginning of episode 24 during Setsuna's flashback as well. There's one that sounds similar to it on the OST, but it has a different tune.

It's track 22 on the second soundtrack, titled Separation.

Yup, IIRC the official site pretty much states that Mileina is Ian's daughter. Kinda hard to dispute when both of they share the same surname
