CR has the uncensored scene for the dog but wow, that was disturbing. From a survival point of view, it makes sense though.

Ep 11

Just like last week I knew what was coming, but even still the episode packed a pretty big punch....

By the by, the positively lovely ED is called "Rainy Veil" and is sung by Nagi Yanagi.

At this rate I can already tell they're gonna start resorting to cannibalism, man I don't think I can stomach that if that comes to pass.

It's not so simple. There will be a good point about it. Which will show how good of character Kazuki is once more.

So it just dawned on me, if they can boil water apparently, what's stopping them from making smoke signals? Surely that would be immensely helpful for flying choppers to spot them.

Yeah, their are more things which seems ridiculous, but they shouldn't bother us, especially not if you want to enjoy this.

Limited wood. They may be surrounded by a forest but all that wood is wet, and wet wood does not burn. Not to mention in order to have a fire big enough to do what you're suggesting you would need quite a lot of wood, and as far as we know they don't have any tools able to cut down that much wood.

I'm not proficient with those survival stuff, but what type of wood do you use to make smoke signal? Would any stuff would do or does it has to be in a specific condition?

Can't they just use some of the gasoline in the bus to jumpstart a fire? I would think even wet leaves and branches would still burn if there's already a fire.

That, and technically a search party should have found them by now.

If a group that large is missing in real life, they would they would have sent hundreds to search for them.

Also since it was stated they pretty much stayed close from where they crashed, it wouldn't have been difficult for a search party to follow the route the bus was taking, notice the broken guardrail, and follow the trail down to the crash site. It shouldn't take more than a week or two at most.

Who knows, when was the last time a bunch of people went missing, and how long did it take to find them?

I think we're still looking for one of the planes.

Thing is, there won't be any broken guardrail on the bus route since the bus took a detour fairly early on as stated in the beginning of the flashback

Doesn't matter. There are other methods like skid tracks as well. A search party considers all methods and all routes to find missing people.

I don't know why you're comparing air travel with road travel. The scope of where a plane could land is infinitely larger than where a bus can go.

And how would you get the gasoline out of the bus? You would need something to siphon it out, if you can even get to the gas tank, it might be on the side that the bus is turned over on.

Maybe Japanese forests are different from the forest I've been at, but I always found plenty of wood. When there's so many trees packed together several branches tend to dry, die and fall on the ground.
I used to pick them all the time for my fireplace.

Anyway as far as I know when people go gather wood in forests, it's always branches that have fallen on the ground or dead trees.
Cutting trees is a way more laborious process that takes a lot of time before you have something that can be used.

They mentioned something about that in the VN, but I can't check at the moment.

Eventhough there might be an excuse (i have no idea because it's quite a while ago when i read Angelic Howl), just call it suspension of disbelieve.
No need to criticize every detail especially when you have seen crazier things in Grisaia so far
