Other than that , if they meant to give us a hint , it'd be a stronger one like Benio jumping from a roof to reach Mashiro-tan or Kobeni and like someone notices it and thinks it is strange

So was that snowman on the top Hakuya? Almost missed it until it was pointed out to me how weird it was to have a snowman on the rooftop. Maybe their mindbending powers also work on us?

But yeah, Mayura as mai waifu of the season! Sure that unnamed college girl in Hamatora is way hotter than her, but I like how perceptive and blunt this girl is. <3

I'm glad I picked this series up, In need to catch up with the new episodes by so far this is the best of the season and even the romantics parts here makes me show a genuine smile since the last season (unlike Nagiasu whose romance sucks lol).

One thing that stuck out to me.

Normally, the rival that appears would have an advantage in terms of looks (good overall figure + looks) but in this case the situation is kind of reversed - Kobeni is in another league entirely compared to Konoha.

Kobeni has three secrets to keep:
1. She and Hakuya's engagement
2. She and Hakuya living in the same house.
3. Hakuya's and his family's origin, and including Konoha's.

It was a bad timing for Konoha to propose Hakuya such things.
Kobeni still not completely regained her childhood memories yet.
Kobeni needs Hakuya more than ever at this state.
If Benio showed her interest to Konoha.

While I love her as a character, it was great to watch her take a critical hit from Kobeni

I facepalmed at the end of the episode though. This "love triangle" is just silly... feels just like a plot device to make Kobeni come to terms with her own feelings.

Though for all we know it's almost instantly shut down at the start of next episode. Maybe just playing on expetations and before Kobeni can really do anything Hakuya is his usual blunt self and just expresses his feelings about Kobeni.

Not like it appears that Konoha has that much interest in Hakuya. Sure she had paid attention to him a few times, but really seems more like her just following family custom than anything else.

But yeah, was totally fun to see Benio take those critical hits .

That does however not mean that she has no sense of species preservation.

So you can say that she is probably a bit interested too.
It probably depends on how we are supposed to understand her sentence of males of her species being rare.
Are they rare because the species is rare, or are they rare even within that species?



Aside from that, this encounter might not necessarily only have positive consequences.
Mashiro's argument that it has to be Kobeni or they'd be lost pretty much went down the drain when Konoha proposed to him, so I can see benio working towards that too.

Yeah, that wouldn't surprise me. I could see some of Kobeni's thinking being caught up in wondering if it wouldn't actually be better for Hakuya to take up that offer. After all since Konoha's identity was revealed she's been the most focused on the whole "same species" business than anyone else.

I can kind of see how Mashiro and Hakuya weren't all that interested in this discovery. It's like saying "I really should get along with the rest of the human race ." If just being the same species mattered we'd have a whole lot fewer wars . Sure, the rarity of their species does change things up, but not sure if it would need to mean instant interest either.

Really enjoyed episode 8, it was a lot more than I was expecting. I was interested in Konoha ever since she appeared in the background in ep.1 (or was it ep.2?). I'm really glad that she's a character that is involved in the plot rather than just some random side character. Here's one person hoping that her screen time remains high, she's my favorite char after all.

On another note, did anyone get reminded of Yoshino from Miname-ke when Mayura seemed to know that Hakuya and the others are not human? I couldn't help making that connection.
