Again, I don't mind the time travel, but this could be an excellent opportunity at explaining /why/ Chrono said it was impossible, and yet is possible.
I'm going to take Command and Conquer 3 for example: Now of course, Tiberium is about as real as that monster under your bed, but did that stop the developers from asking, and getting a few MIT students to write up a paper on the properties and functions of Tiberium? It's not like it changed the gameplay or anything, but you can see that there was a real effort at expanding the C&C universe, and hell, it made for interesting reading. Now I know that there isn't going to be college level theoretical discussions on the likelihood of time travel in this game, but would it be a good thing to expand upon it all the same? Hell yeah. |

Ah crap, now I can't help but think about adding Treehouse of Horror to the mix.
"Don't touch anything?! I'LL BLOW UP EVERYTHING I WANT! STARLIGHT BREAKER!" -Hayate's house on MC in the present transforms into the Wolfram, and then the Garden of Time, and then to a MacDonalds, and then to Riot Section 6, then to a statue of the Sankt Kaiser Olive with Vita's head on it. A full version of that image...
Spoiler for Rightfully lethal support characters:
Somehow, the idea of a game using solely Vivid characters sounds surprisingly appealing. Being mostly ground mages, the tournament characters (and a handful of StrikerS characters) in Vivid would make for a nice ground-based fighting game.

@WarbObscura: That's likely an update to one of Shamal's moves in melee range. The existing characters have several tweaks to their movesets here, after all.
And of course, completing the set... :3 Spoiler for :3:
