As for whether that video has been posted before, I remember seeing the original Japanese version of it before, but that doesn't mean that I got it from this thread...

...Just finished watching TTGL...

But man, that plot twist was one that I was not expecting...and it was a sad one, too....

Not at all. Have you noticed the TTGL references throughout this thread?

Anyway, the primary part of my post was to say that I had finished watching TTGL, thus having learned of all the GAR involved within it and now having a larger basis of knowledge from which to draw ideas of Haruki's character.

Ah, true, true.

That said, I wonder... would Haruki be more Kamina-GAR or Simon-GAR? There is a certain thickheadedness to his character that would suggest the former, after all...

I quite agree...in fact, I believe that very same thing has been said previously in the thread.

Edit: in fact, Kyonko could be said to be the equivalent of young Simon, in that she's the one who stops Haruki when he goes to far, just like Simon would rein in Kamina when retreat was the better option.

How much of a difference in GAR did they have anyways? I didn't notice much... Haruki would be just as implusive as either, in my view that is

I'm going to be making assumptions here, since this is a bit vague on what you're ultimately planning to do.

If we're still going for the "Is there someone you're interested in" route, remember that Kyon asked Mikuru about this implicitly just before the infodump on time-travel (and the relevant "classified information" line), and Mikuru straight-out said that she's not allowed.

Also, it has to be just as relevant when the big version meets Kyon(ko). "Is there someone you're interested in" seems a bit pointless at that time.
