Some new info on Saiyans from Toriyama's Q&A

I guess we finally have the answer for why Goten and Present Trunks could transform effortlessly(although it was a popular headcanon/theory already).

U6 Saiyans might also benefit for having much gentler environment overall.

Episode of Bardock was always more than a bit bullshit. The Super Saiyan originally being the God makes more sense, frankly.

It's the opposite for me. I like the lore about the first Super Saiyan better than this S-cells explanation.

I can take or leave the specifics of the S-cells, but overall am glad to see a canon confirmation that young Trunks and Goten achieved SS1 so easily because of what they inherited from their fathers. That had always been a long standing head-canon for many people, but exactly what it was they inherited to make it easier was always kind of a shrug-of-god, now he just gave it a name.

Plus, now you can say that the "tingly back" thing is just channeling Ki into the S-cells.

Like you I'm fine with the legendary super saiyan god story. I don't even see it as much of a retcon, first of all because we already had the Dragon's story that he was able to relate to Beerus to place in all this and the described legend now fits with what he said, and second because I already find Episode of Bardock a dubious thing.

Toriyama only mentioned the start of the legend, he didn't mention the rest. Who knows, maybe we will get an arc focused on Yamoshi or someone that inherited his spirit

So is the official name of Ultra Instinct "Omen" and the otherworldly voice we've been occasionally hearing overlaying Goku's hinting at the presence of Yamoshi's spirit? Did Yamoshi's wandering spirit finally discover the host he's been looking for when Goku underwent the SSG ritual?

And on another note, here's a fun thought. Not that it would ever happen, but how much of a mindf*** would it be on Vegeta if he were to ever find out that the key to unlocking and progressing through the various stages of SSJ had to do with becoming softer?

Vegeta is soft enough as is. He's fine as is. Goku is the calmer and more soft one while Vegeta should stay the angry hardened type. I don't know but honestly Vegeta having SSG in the manga sync's up with his nature very well. (red being a wild color and all.)

And anybody thing Goku is going to use Kaioken with Ultra Instinct ? Ssj is out there like WAY out there
