Ai shit. I'm crying now just transcribing it. The imagery of 'rain' versus 'fire' of what is usually described as 'normal' romantic love still hits me right in the feels, even after all this time. T_T So yes, I can see where people are coming from where they don't see anything special between Kumiko and Shuiichi. But when people say that they're relationship is without passion and 'just there', again it reminds me that 'rain' is also 'just there'.

I'm not saying because its obviously major spoilers, though the series is like a decade old and practically no one new is going to watch it (or even someone new will not get where it's from; heck even those who have seen it might not get it since the series is not known for that quote). But I'm afraid of the banhammer, so maybe check your pm?

It takes a while for a studio promotional department to crank into overdrive sometimes. I think they might have held off to give it a month's screentime and fan reaction (possibly to prep/put the finishing touches to) the work.

This being an adaptation KyoAni took on, I don't see either of them playing with each other's instruments anytime soon. But hey, maybe they teach other breathing techniques in the original source. Who knows.

^ Judging by that preview, it looks like the next episode will be focusing more on Hazuki and Midori (or just Hazuki). So this could be a key episode for their characters.
It also looks like we're going to have a Kumiko flashback scene from her early childhood. That could prove fun and/or interesting.

Yeah, looks like the focus will be Hazuki trying to grab a performance spot. A tough road since she's just starting out so has to put in all kinds of effort to learn to play and improve. Or could just be a focus on potential struggles since again picking up an instrument after never playing before is tough.
But should be a good chance to focus on her character a little bit.
