I love both anime and manga. The story's solid packed with a diverse and versatile team of characters with different motivations.
The final thing that hooked me up totally to HOTD was the insert of John Murphy's, "In a House, In a Heartbeat", the theme song for the climax of the film "28 Weeks Later", played at the conclusion climax of the first episode. However, I recall another eponymous and (in)famous theme from another film, that would have suited HOTD, or at least in those scenes involving a hopeless struggle or shocking twist full of despair. I mean "Hello Zepp (Zepp Overture)" from the first SAW film, played at the conclusion climax when Jigsaw finally reveals his true self. Last edited by Guido; 2010-12-26 at 18:55. Reason: Found the title name for that song |

We may never know when they decide to do an Highschool of the Dead season 2, the manga is slowly coming out possibly.. 3-6 months? If thats the pace, then it will take quite a long time till a season 2 is finally decided.

Hmm, well no, I was actually talking about the release time of the first season in the U.S. But since it's bi-monthly, I expect 4 or 6 months to be enough for a second season coverage? It'll probably have it's own anime original ending and all, but yeah. Unless they wait for the manga to be finished.

Another anime season we will never no but don't expect it till at least 1 year or so from now if it happens. The first season covered the first 4 volumes and volume 7 doesn't hit for a few months. And the series already is bi-monthly and seems to missing in action again for the next chapter till god knows when. So the new chapters which will be covered in volume 8 are up in the air, please kami-sama don't go on a 1 year hiatus again.
As for the amercican release on the anime best guess summer time or as late as fall. My Secret Box is on the way as I type this, I had 2 on order and one came in but canceled that one and was able to save 20 bucks by sticking with the online order. Too bad it was sealed wanted to see the contents early. The Artbook was the best purchase in a long time little disappointed after reading it and seeing the high quality details, Rika does not have a M-4 but instead a Type 89 modified to resemble a AR platform rifle since certain parts are compatible. Oh well I'm still going to order the add ons to make my H&K MR556 look like hers. |

Left 4 Dead 2 to High School of the Dead Reference
In the safe house Barge chapter of the Sacrifice, its says 滝… 愛してる。 さようなら。 ("Taki...Aishiteru. Sayonara.") (English translation: "Taki... I love you. Goodbye." Louis is able to translate in-game, apparently interned in Tokyo.) First is that it’s a reference to ‘high school of the dead’, the main character’s name is Takashi, sometimes shortened to Taki. Second, and a lot less more conspiracy theory is that it’s a reference to L4D3, which is rumoured to be set in Japan |
