And I have my harem which is certifiably bat**** crazy and has access to military grade strategic weapons. But I think I would have been off better if I started off on something less... Well, Ecchi

If you think I.S. are ecchi you need to watch and read much more anime than I can count
Amongst the charm of first season for me is it's half-assed attempt at fanservice, the later novel and season 2 ramp up the useless content and things suddenly fell apart in front of my eyes.

Ah Bitmeister, I pity that you did not grow in my time. With bi-weekly meetings to watch a few episodes of Ranma 1/2 or BubbleGum Crisis 2032. Or purchasing the VHS from ADV films and watching the previews just to hear the opening music to some of the shows like Legend of Crystania/Record of Lodoss War... or searching for the opening/ending songs of Slayers using Napster... or joining a fanfic mailing group...or been a part of a TRUE SHIPPING WAR (again, Ranma 1/2 anyone?)
These experiences of mine...are PRECIOUS!! T^T

I know I'm gonna sound like a douche with this but is this series still generating so much money that the publishers and Izuru himself are willing to keep it alive? I would think that it's generating as much as any forgettable harem and they'd just cut their losses and move on with new projects with the lessons they've learned.
Or am I just not informed enough and they're actually generating top sales compared to other super popular series like TAMNI, HSDxD, Mahouka and such? |

I.S. might not be popular with average plebs like us, but Otaku with over 9000 power level absolutely adores them. And we all know who can cash more money to spend.

it's kind of weird how much the figurines tend to vary though. Mostly because I notice that the molds are based on 3 different character designs. Okiura's, CHOCO's and the anime's.
I also find it odd that the sales of figures stay strong with such a case. Is it purely because of collectible status? I'm pretty sure not all of the otaku are in favor of all the figurine models. does the difference in design increase sales? shouldn't it decrease in such a case? |

But yeah, it's mostly otaku money talking, with rich casuals and die hard fans inbetween.
