Kakura Kurumi should win the first match. She has decent strength while her opponent are among the weakest in the tournament. Index was in the same preliminary group as Hiroe and didn't do very well but I wouldn't count her out. Atago Hiroe should be a tough opponent to beat, though. I think a bit too tough so I have Hiroe winning but it'll be closer than their preliminary match was. Tina Sprout steps up to challenge one of the big five Puella Magi. Madoka only looked okay while Sayaka destroyed her opponent. While I think Tina is pretty strong, she'll have to advance through Repechage. I have Kyouko winning. Yuu wins the fourth match fairly easily due to being pretty strong and having no opposition. Votes: Minami Chiaki Atago Hiroe Sakura Kyouko Sonoda Yuu Predictions: Kakura Kurumi Atago Hiroe Sakura Kyouko Sonoda Yuu

- While Roka was unable to stand up to a Love Live Rep, the other D-Frag reps are taking care of business. Funabori wins her match with room to spare against SIlica of SAO.
- No Game no Life with a quick start. Jibril wins against Kurumi - A split for Rozen Maiden..... not a problem for Suigintou I1-2: Picking: Chiaki (Minami-ke) J1-2: Picking: Tensai Ikkyuu (Nanana) * Tensai looks strong but having Index and a Saki rep in the same match could be a problem K1-2: Tina Sprout (B Bullet), Sakura Kyouko (PMMM), Ayumi (Kaminomi) * All 3 mini favorites. I would say Tina Sprout in any other match, but not against a PMMM L1-2: Picking: Yuu Sonada (Sakura Trick) |

Well, my "gamble" on Funabori pays off...4/4 in prediction.
On the other hand...poor Suzu no Head... Jibril and Kurumi are fairly close as expected, Suigintou takes care of business, and I still can't see the last winner anywhere. For today: Spoiler for Picks & Prediction:

Chitoge should win the first match. Mafuyu was pretty strong back in the day but those days have passed. Ai is strong enough to qualify each year but rare draws opponents weak enough to beat in Round 1. Hisa takes the second match. Her opponents just aren't that strong and Hisa is. For the same reason, Kaori wins the third match. Fourth match features weaker characters making it tough to call. Kinmosa is the stronger series but Youko is among the weaker members of the main cast. I think she might win anyways. Votes: Shiina Mafuyu Takei Hisa Fujimiya Kaori Himeragi Yukina Predictions: Kirisaki Chitoge Takei Hisa Fujimiya Kaori Inokuma Youko

Victory for gay rights with a Trick. Madoka marches on into a September Offensive A near Iguchi quinella there. A Saki one and one instead. For the eleventh year Ai Haibara enters the field of sorrow, dreams and combat; can she emulate 2010 and get just her second win in the tounament's history?

After two days of below average participation, today we reached the highest turnout so far this year. Besides the participation of a Madoka character, which usually draws a large crowd, another reason for this turnout seems to be the somewhat unexpected race between Hiroe and Index in J1-2 which was decided by a single vote.
Even more notable, the vote percentage achieved by Sakura Kyouko (71.43%) is the 2nd highest of all time for a 3-sided match. It is only surpassed by the 73.40% achieved by Fate T. Hallaoun in Round 1 of the 2007 tournament. |

- Sakura Kyouko passes 300, more than doubles the combined votes of 2nd and 3rd place..... and her win mostly gets overshadowed by the power struggle between Index/Railgun and Saki to determine if either one is strong enough to challenge the PMMMs for AST 2014.
- I had a feeling that Index was in trouble even though she was temporarily in the lead because the votes appeared too high for AST 2014 stats. Index didn't win, but to not be the main character in the Railgun timeline and still lose by 1 vote, I get the impression the other reps (Including the leader Mikoto) may be just as strong. (Lost in the power struggle was Tensai being last) - Best result of the day though was Yuu Sonada winning. I1-3: Picking: Chitoge (Nisekoi) J1-3: Pick Preference: Sayaka Kisaragi (Strike the Blood) > Escha (Escha & Logy) K1-3: Picking: Rumi Yokoi (Tonari no Seki-kun) L1-3: Picking: Yukina Himeragi (Strike the Blood) |
