"Real Doctor" Ed Hope has published a few more commentaries for Hataraku Saibou. I had missed installments for episodes eight and nine, but he released his comments for episode ten earlier this week.
He goes all out with the discussion for episode nine, "Thymocytes," about the branch of cells that spend time in the thymus gland and become the various T cells, the B cells, and the macrophages. The analogy to boot camp seems especially apt. My earlier comment that this episode seemed derivative turns out to be based on a lack of knowledge. The various tests the cells needed to pass represent actual processes of positive and negative selection. A earlier villain, Staphlococcus Aureus, is the focus of episode ten. Both these discussions focused on how well this show presents actual medical material in an entertaining format.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yG5rWjwi6uA now imagine in Cells at Work Season 2 on Salmonella Episode when the Salmonella would used poison gas on the Macrophages as they fight back but they got knocked out by that gas attack by a Salmonella Bacteria. unless antibiotics would save the day.

I came across a couple of chibified shorts from this show on YouTube, but they're in Japanese. Does anyone know if there are subtitled versions?
Never mind. I found them in a batch torrent.
