The OVA's were subbed as they were released by BSS.

You won't find them on Animesuki because of Funimation's license.

Too bad I found this anime a bit late. Episode 16 is nowhere to be found.

Hopefully, they would at least make a sequel or something

Trailer is out:

http://www4.funimation.com/baccano/

Looks like the English dub will have that ol' 1930's slang incorporated in it.

Thank god for Funimation. If it wasn't for them I would never have even heard of this show.
Now, I am a big fan of Mobster Movies. Miller's Crossing, The godfather and Good Fellas just to name a few classics. So when I watched the trailer of FUNI's site I just about yelled "HAZZA!" Because finally Japan made an anime with Gangs from the 1930s. Funi has the first two episodes up for free on their video site Dubbed. And I gotta say...The dub is fan-freakin'-tastic. Accents from the Bronx, Chicago and other cities gives the anime a very authentic feel and so far the show is great.
Firo is one awesome dude.
Nice is sexy, beautiful and has a cute Boston accent.
Jacuzzi is whiny at first, but I hear the kid is gonna' go places.
Ennis is the most beautiful Homunculus I have ever seen. Not even the ones from FMA can touch her!
Luck is cool, calm and awesome. And he knows Poe. This cat knows where it is at.
Ladd is freakin' crazy. He is a good baddie.
Issac and Midia are both great comic relief. I enjoy the fact that they steal chocolate and wear costumes. The Babe Ruth and TY Cobbs costumes where great. And they stole from the mafia! Thumbs Up!

Those are my favorite characters so far. Can't wait to buy the DVD in a few weeks.

Indeed. All the dub actors are great. Even the new ones are great. Ladd's voice actor is new, and he was so good it's scary.

And the trailer shows that spear woman dressed in white again...

Spoiler for content of the series:

Sounds like an interesting dub. Guess that means I'll be buying anime dvds again. I haven't done that since Mushishi.

Who says I've been pirating? Thanks for assuming.

If an anime that I'm following is licensed, I'll include it my dvd collection. Money is a factor of course.

Baccano By Bones

I watched about three episodes of this anime so far.It doesn't seem like it's that bad of anime. the way every things panned out so far gives the show room and a mysterious story.

Anyways what do some of you think of the show.

I think its pretty good series, sir.

Baccano tastes good too. The whole thing just makes sense once you've seen all 13 episodes.

Baccano! is a production of Brains-Base; looking at the page for this show on ANN, I don't see any mention of Bones.

This post will probably get merged into the thread for Baccano! You might want to continue this discussion over there.

With shows like Baccano!, Kure-nai, and Natsume Yuujinchou, Brains-Base has quickly become one of my favorite studios. I'll overlook Akikan and assume B-B needed a cash infusion.

What it is about Brains Base that makes people think Bones did their stuff? I made the same mistake with Kure-nai episode 1 before I actually looked it up.

I take it this is the only Baccano thread, so I'll just ask here:

Does anybody have a big, high quality scan of this image?
