Like how the grandpa turned into that animal. That is an awesome house indeed. First ep did a good job of setting things up. I also like how they included the part about how her mom got hurt. Wonder what the opening scene meant though.

By the way, I moved the conversation about fighting and fanservice to its own thread, since in the end we were really talking more about Strike Witches and suppositions of what this show might do as opposed to what it has already done. That way hopefully this thread can go back to what actually happened in the show as presented.

I will say one of the first things that caught my eye was the production values. This should be a show that definitely looks good every week.
Some good laughs like the grandfather achieving immortality by transporting his mind into a toy . Looking at his age should he really want to go back?

If his cells don't die from oxygen starvation, they'll be ruptured when the water in them freezes and expands. Either way he's totally not getting that body back in living condition.
...Oh wait, this show isn't taking science that seriously, I forgot.

I feel I'm getting very tired of generic dialogue.
Like all the 'are you okay' that seems to span 10 repeats in 1st episodes for random reasons and all the waking up dialogue that happens in the first 15minutes. Its driving me crazy!! Wondering how an inventor of the sustainable energy source FOR THE ENTIRE WORLD ends up poor. Supposed accident or no. Didn't expect the magical girl megaman at the end. The cutoff of the episode was poorly timed imo. Right before things got interesting, but not enough substance to lead-in imo for me to get grabbed. Will give it another episode or two to see if they end up jumping into a mech or something.

I actually thought the cutoff was in a great place. An annoying cliff hanger place, yes, but it leaves me quite excited for ep2.
On the topic of bad science. I'm more concerned with how grandpa ended up becoming a stuffed animal than grandpa's body being in a bad condition to reinhabit... |

The one on the right is a Kongo class guided missile destroyer (DDG), while the one on the left is an Arleigh Burke class DDG. The one in the middle at the rear appears to be a Ticonderoga class missile cruiser.
