That's weird, i think i remember when i found this, the person who checks these pictures said it was a yuri action schoolgirl manga. The story if i remember was about a elite private girl school whose students were secretly demon hunters who protect the city. The main character, a female(duh!) is (if i remember correctly) a rookie hunter or a young master hunter. She is well admire by everyone in the school but two characters are in love with her. One's the Student Council president and the other is a popular ojou, both are pro hunters themselves. What's made this love triangle complicated is the fact both the President and the ojou hate each other guts but will sometimes put aside their rivalry to protect the girl they love.
(PS This may not be how the story goes since it's been a long time and i only remember some of it.)

I watched the first episode quite a while ago and i just can't seem to remember the name. Would anyone happen to know it?

It starts out with a bunch of teenagers in a school hallway behind a knocked over desk and bullets are flying everywhere...there is even a sniper.

no it wasn't Toshokan Sensou because that is a fairly new release. i used to think it was school rumble or something like that and its not.

It's from School Rumble: 2nd Semester (TV) which is the second season.

nope school rumble 2nd semester starts with a samurai fighting not the shooting i saw the anime maybe 5 or 6 years ago if that helps

It could be school rumble, I remember a first episode being a mission one in which the school was set up as teams at night, shooting each other etc.
Not sure what season of school rumble it was cause I started watching the wrong season first lol I think

its not it i just checked it out and it looks nothing like it i mean the one i am thinking of uses darker colors and they are shooting down a hallway while using desks as a barricade come to think of it they may not have been teenagers but it was definitely in a school
