The MSI is quite exciting though! Lots of innovative plays and quite a few hyped matches, there's a lot of entertainment in it...then again, it has been a long time since the last champion release and Bard was shiet.

I'm looking for a new support to learn after Janna. I have a fairly good understanding of what everyone is supposed to do but disengage/keep people safe champions suit me the best since I'm more of a passive player. After looking through the list only Zyra somewhat seems similar but perhaps one of you has a good suggestion?

Ult-wise, Bard would be the closest, since it offers an unblockable instant lockdown...but he can't trade for his life and you WILL have to roam a bit, so if your jungler gets invaded, you may be in for a surprise, even with journey in your kit. Utility-wise, Lux and Morgana are pretty amazing, they have a root and a shield (while Morg's shield blocks CC, Lux's is a double multi-target shield) and their presence in combat can make a difference, at least in skirmishes. Morgana is an excellent Leona counter-pick and Lux works wonders against guys like Alistar. Learning them is easy, they're relatively cheap, you got nothing to lose.
Zyra is an offensive support, she can definitely make plays with her ADC early and mid-game, especially if your ADC is Ashe (arrow->growth=killz) but I've had my share of flak for plant kills when our adc couldn't take the kill. Not that I should have, since an assist is always better than nothing, but you get the point. Objectively speaking though, Thresh is the best support in LoL. Hook aside, he has this amazing lantern that can cross an entire team over walls, his Box is solid although not as defining as monsoon and flay will allow him to keep up with the enemy support in terms of trading, at least. |

Forg1ven stepping down from SK into substitute role, CandyPanda back in the mix.
Incarnati0n confirmed for C9. Stupid SK management making it very hard for me as a fan. In some sense it's a plus since CandyPanda cannot be corralled with 3 bans.... But probably because the opponent wouldn't even consider banning him out. Candypanda is good... Not Forg1ven, and the bottom lane teams are no pushover at the moment. Maybe him being able to take Sivir and the likes away from Hjarman will be good.... Maybe.... But when you go up against international competition Forg1ven's the guy you should have gone for. I'm disappointed. From what Innerflame and others have said, Forg1ven wasn't that bad attitude-wise and was close with Nrated. I'm dumbfounded why anyone would want him out. The curse of the 1-season roster swap strikes again. Can't management understand that maybe an actual ^#%*ing coach and some time would have helped the SK line-up grow as a team? (Innerflame served as both manager AND coach. Two separate jobs meant for two separate people if you ask me).
