I've seen enough of that from the Alien and/or AVP franchises to where I'm used to it.

But that aside, how's everyone doing on their fics?

Sounds like a complisult, I'll take it. Its just a lot of ammo types, not different guns.
If Cosmic Break had faster gameplay, it would be the closest thing to an IS game. The actual game they made was baaaad. If they had at least had customization the game would have been better.

You played Cosmic Break too? I thought it was too fast (but considering that I'm a strategy type of guy...)
Also, are you talking about the first or the critically panned sequel? The first DO have some customization (full-on custom part swap for the full mechs, partial part swap for the regular girls and zero part swapping for the HD remake. Also full skin customization for all, not to mention paint for non-HDs).
It's not bad, I kinda like it. Having fun with Jikun Long in Vairose skin or Raioh skin is awesome, especially during dropkicks

Oh THAT. It's kinda obvious that it'd be a failfest.It's a console game, which while I don't condone the "PC Master Race" at all, is kinda limited for an IS game. That's why they don't make Cosmic Break for the PS4.

Every building in ISA are fortified, and even if that fail they have underground bunkers with energy shield.

It's rather telling when Tabane is the only one who can brute force in with raw power. Both Navy SEAL and Phantom Task has to resort to hacking to get in.

Well that's good. I think energy shields can ward off radiation and Kojima Particle poisoning, which was my biggest concern.
