Y'know, we might be looking at a live-action anthology that adapts the manga, distilling it to its core essential parts.
And you know what? I'm okay with that. Sure, the live action adaptation didn't completely adapt the manga, but it was a good effort and a solid performance, and the casting for Jin-E, Saito and Kenshin was right on the money. So yes, Kyoto Arc movie please.

Honestly, if it were anything besides exactly what I expected it would have been a kick in the nuts. But I'm pretty much beyond disappointment when it comes to the way RK is treated - I expect to never see it finished in anime form, and anything else will be a pleasant shock.

I'm just happy it's not another OVA. The movie was pretty good for what it was, though I'm a bit worried that Shishio will look silly in live-action.
At this point I can't help but believe that they think they covered it with the Seisouhen OVAs. *sits on hands, does not rant* Last edited by kuromitsu; 2013-06-29 at 09:39. Reason: why do I keep messing this title up.... |

I was quite surprised with how much I liked the live action, considering live-action adaptations (especially if they are based on shounen) tend to look silly or doesn't make justice to the source material.
Really curious about how they're going to make Shishio with all those bandages. And looking forward to Aoshi whom I missed in the first movie.
