That whole episode was so relatable with how I'm spending my summer break, though Tomoko's situation is much worse...but seriously, I think we all know what she was doing in the time they didn't show; poor Tomoki, with those thin walls...

I was pleasantly surprised with how well the recording thing went, all things considered. I was sure she was just gonna be too shy about it, or say something extremely vulgar, causing Jun to refuse to say it. Either way, I'm glad Mokocchi's plan actually worked and made her happy, though in a way I can't totally get behind...

I was the same way up through about ninth grade and my parents never said anything more than, "Maybe you should go outside more." As long as I had good grades and didn't get in trouble, they didn't care.

Besides, if her mother did notice, she'd probably conclude Tomoko's on the verge of becoming a hikikomori and the only solution is to completely ignore the problem.

The moment your mother catches you masturbating, or at the very least during some very embarrassing moment. Tomoko, I feel your pain. I get the feeling her parents are either used to it, or just shrug it off as typical teenage behavior.

The VA was a true pro. Whatever he might have thought about Tomoko's line (the girls behind her were definitely creeped out, that's for sure), he said it with a straight face and a smile nonetheless. Another life's goal achieved! She's making progress (even if it is slow).

Tomoki is probably scarred for life after seeing that home video of his child self confessing his love to his sister and wanting to marry her. I was kinda expecting to throw up at the mere thought of it. And we now know why he has such bags under his eyes as well: Tomoko's moaning and sobbing keeps him awake at night.

I laughed when she threatened to piss on his floor, and actually came very close to doing so. Kinda expected her to open the floodgates on her chair, after she got startled by some random sound. I guess she caught herself before it was too late.

Summer vacations were always nice. The last eventful one was the summer of 1999, with all the ones that followed consisting of little more than staying home and playing videogames, but summer vacation was always a pleasant and relaxing experience just the same. I'm sure that I would have had an even easier time entertaining myself during summer vacations were I a school kid of today since Youtube offers pretty much limitless entertainment. (Well, Youtube was around during my final summer vacation between Junior and Senior years in 2005, but it was just a few months old and I had no idea it existed at the time, so that doesn't really count.)

Tomoko was very cute in that daydream of hers where she's acting as the charismatic blog host, and unlike the glamorized 'sentient boobs' daydream, it's perfectly achievable in reality - if she was more confident and got more sleep, she would be every bit the charming beauty that Yu-chan is.
