I hope they don't allow class switching. Each 2nd class would already have a wide range of skills at their disposal (least for any particular class is 5). With less skills available for each player, partying will be much more fun due to the unique mix of skills. Part of the fun is starting a new class without prior knowledge. It doesn't have to be perfect and you learn how to play your character a lot better that way too. Although I do have to admit I do a lot of research beforehand.
It also makes replay value higher. Well, so long as they don't make the grinding too bad. I'm more curious about how the non-battle classes (e.g. alchemists) will level.

I'm down for the old RO way. Making new character if you want to play a new class. While it's good for casual players like me in FFXIV, switching classes makes me feel like I could do everything on my own, and the social aspect takes a hit due to everyone just does everything and not rely on other player/guild mate.
Although I'm pretty sure there won't be class switching due to the structure of class advancing in ToS.

In the first, here's the official English translation of blog #12. With that out of the way...
"Hiii...!" Do you like playing doppelganger? Are you fond of using the elements to crush your enemies and see them driven before you? Or perhaps you're fond of laying traps to funnel the tangos into kill boxes and fire zones? If the answer to any of the questions is 'yes', then proceed to blog #13 and enjoy. "I lost the bomb... do you have it?"

^There was a part in the video where 2 Sappers set up a wall of bamboo traps, lured the monsters toward them, and then started shooting.
I'm more interested in the fact that the game will apparently be instanced in the same way Guild Wars was (you can apparently only see your party members outside of town) but it's also kinda like Dark Souls in that you can join up with people who are in the same area as you. At least that's how I understood that particular answer. P.S. Monks have can learn Kamehameha |

Yes. Instead of saying "subclass", I think to be precise, it's just another branch of Archer class. Meaning you could have your previous skills from Archer class together with skill from your new branch.

So, I don't think I'm the only one who noticed the rather dark implications of that pot and the monsters that kidnap children.
It's times like these that I'm glad RO and ToS have a cuteness filter over everything in the game. Things would get pretty dark if they didn't Ah, the things you can get past the radar with visuals like these |
