Getchu.com reports a January 25th release date for the soundtrack. Please note that this has not been confirmed on the official website.

I just hope that funny background music in episode 2 where Shana gave Yuji an obento box full of melon bread is finally included on the second season's soundtrack this time. It was not put on the first season's soundtrack despite it being featured a few times throughout the first season. Regardless of how funny it sounds, that music piece seems to be my favourite and most memorable from Shakugan no Shana, maybe cos it sounds like a mischief song XD.
There's pretty much zero chance of the piano version of "Hishoku no Sora" surfacing on it I bet. |

Ok ya it took me a while to get around to watching the first six episodes (don't ask why, i'm dumb or something) but damn I gotta say Mami Kawada can rock !
I've always been a fan of her more "pop" or "techno" type stuff but Joint is one hell of a song. The way they blend the song into the scenes for the OP is really, really, well done a lot of kickass symbolism that fits perfectly with the emotions of the singing perfectly. Especially when the chorus kicks in and we see Shana fighting that chick with the eye that sends her flying. Really well done. to the anime staff that handles the OP scenes.

This may sound silly, but can anyone provide the translation for the songs' title? What I mean for example, if Hishoku no Sora is translated into English, what does it mean? I also want to know what is the meaning of Yowake Umare Kuru Shoujo, Aka no Seijaku and Akai Namida. Some of the songs are given English name, like Joint and being. Any reasons for that? Thanks for the explanation.

there's always attempts shown on youtube of people playing anime songs on their own instruments. there's only one good one for Joint so far (if there's more, i missed them while searching). it's also really good.
