Haha, I was thinking about a future Akainu fight too. Blackbeard's power might prevent him from going toon and who knows about the Gorosei or Im, but I could definitely do without ever seeing Akainu in toon form

Maybe Oda will sidestep it and just have Sabo fight him instead

Im liking it. It really fits and further enhances Luffy's wackiness.

Eventually times will come when someones gonna kick his ass so bad (Akainu, Ryokugyu, Blackbeard, Im) that Gear5 will look like a toy anyway.
Im feeling all burnt out for Kaido too. I wont find surprising if BM and Kaido fall here, wont change anything at all since Luffy-Law-Kid will be there as new emperors to counter the balance as enemies of WG.

We saw Doflamingo and Katakuri Awakening, and we never felt something strange as Luffy's Awakening does. I guess this is what Joyboy is, this whole chapter of Luffy sort of being goofy. Then there is Kaido's Awakening, sometimes I can't even tell what is "Awaken" or not anymore.

I like Luffy with regular "Gomu Gomu" more than this Joyboy Gear 5th thing one.

Me too. I still think Gear Second was the pinnacle of the epicness that Luffy’s powers are.

Yeah, Gear Second was definitely the best one so far and especially how it was introduced even though I also like Gear Fourth.
