It failed the vote to become a project on B-T, I think, so I'm not sure if anyone is. I've read about half of volume 1 using machine translations (this is my second series doing so, and it's a hell of a lot easier for me to read it compared to MKnR), so it's going pretty quickly. When I'm done, I might do a more detailed summary than Zephyr provided, since the one he did for volume 1 was short, though, honestly speaking, there really isn't that much he left out that isn't important so far, so I might not do anything at all. If I do anything at all for Volume 1, I won't do anything for volume 2, since he provided a nearly full translation for large bulks of the novel, so there is no point in a summary. Unlike MKnR, I will go in order.

Later volumes will reveal it as
Spoiler:
I've yet to reach Volume 3 since I took my sweet time rereading Volumes 1 and 2, but I hear the scene involving that is awesome. Plus, it just didn't shoot down a dragon with one shot; if you pay attention to the details surrounding Tigre's "shot", it was more like a railgun! Which is AWESOME.

To be fair though, considering the political situation, I don't think it was entirely impossible nor far-fetched. Plus, I like the way none of the characters are absolutely all-powerful or unbeatable - their limitations makes them more consistent and plausible.

But considering that the King was locked up in his chambers and had mentally regressed after what happened to the prince, I suppose it wouldn't have been a bad option for Roland to surrender his sword to Tigre. Quote:
Again, that's what I love about this series. Every action has consequences, whether intentional and unintentional, that play out in the big picture.

Spoiler for LN:
Only read up to vol 3 here ~_~ can't help but think that Tigre's heritage is more than what it seems, with the bow and all...Side Note - Is it really ok to kill off Roland like that == the king was ok with all that?..... |

You have to keep in mind that the king is completely isolated from all this. He has no knowledge of what is going, nor does he wish to know what is going on, because of the Prince's death. Hence why the whole country of Brune went to hell thanks to Dukes Tenaldie and Ganlon's maneuverings for the throne.
