Meh. I think it looks really interesting. The art, from the character designs, colors, and overall aesthetic, look very nice, like a dark Alice in Wonderland. The music in the trailer is nice composed, with a dramatic flair that hints with the art that the show won't be all happy moments. And it pushes that even farther with the brief clip of the crying girl.
This could be the next Madoka, or the next Symphogear, or it could be it's own thing, but what it is for me right now is something I might watch in the summer. And I liked Symphogear. It was a narrative mess, but it was fun to watch. And the swan songs were beautiful to hear.

MAL pointed out this website. It looks to have the silhouettes of the same main girls, but has Blood of Fortune in the title.

More staff and cast announced. Also the show gets a novel and manga adaptation as well. And I'm so right that Tatsuya Katou is gonna composing the music !

Oh hey, Kitamura plays the blue character. Is there a color-based typecasting thing whenever she's in a magical girl(-looking) show?
Also, I really like Symphogear because it was easier to not take seriously than Madoka. I'm pretty glad it didn't turn out like Madoka. Cardcaptor Sakura? Last edited by Shyni; 2013-04-21 at 04:49. |

From the official website, at ACE, the story is set in Nagasaki, and is about "the bonds of friendship and going against one's fate." It was always going to be less cynical than Madoka, even if it will inevitably be compared to that. Not a whole lot of info from the expo, but it's enough to get me excited.

The official website got a bit of an overhaul, and gave us names for the rest of the cast. Some basic character bios are up too, and there's a really elaborate world building section up. A new visual too.
I'm actually really looking forward to this anime. Its idea of Saint October meets Madoka, and the stylized character art, is making for something really appealing. |
