I wish they would've just left him as "Hakkon". Yea, they're translating it to the appropriate English version, but I hate when names get screwed with. Not translating it would leave people in the dark about the etymology of the nickname, but that's fine by me. Boxxo just sounds stupid IMO lol

Love how the chick is giving him crap for being reckless, when she was the one who knocked him into the hole in the first place lol. As far as his worries about becoming human, yea, I'd probably be thinking the same thing. People would be bummed out that they can't enjoy Earth food anymore. So it seems to be the simple solution is not to wish to be human, but to wish for the ability to change back and forth

Yeah, I thought the same thing, too. I always wondered since the beginning of the series if he will eventually be able to transform into a human. Now, when they mentioned the wish, I thought the simplest solution would be to have the ability to transform into a human as one of his forms.
However, I do wonder if he will still have the 2 hours (or was it 4 hours) a day limit on his transformations? Of course, he could go with the no human transformation option and just go with the ability to communicate freely, but I think that would be a weak and ill thought-out solution when a superior one was already there.

^ Communication is already available as a blessing, he is just hesitating whether to take it (Telepathy).
I also think that taking human as a transformation form is the best solution. It's pretty clear that the time limit will get increase with higher rank anyway. |

That's a good idea, I didn't think of it as one of his forms. Since it'd have the limit, that seems like a perfect way to balance it. I just hope he keeps the time in mind; it'd be a bit distressing to be mid-coital with Lammis and suddenly become a vending machine
Though honestly Hulemy is more my speed. Since she doesn't have super strength, that'd be really bad for her lol. But can you imagine how distressing it'd be for Lammis if Hakkon gets the human ability, then wants to date Hulemy? Kinda weird really when you think about it; she appears to be infatuated with him, but while we get the breadth of his thoughts and feelings, all she gets is five or so canned phrases. Be funny if he turns human and she's like oh! I get to be with him! Oh wait, what?? Christ he's ugly, nevermind, please go back to being a machine lol |

^ If we are going in that direction (and obviously this show is not, but whatever), I wonder how much you can stretch the definition of vending machine in higher ranks. Would some more private and "enjoyable", machines be acceptable as long as it takes coins to work?
And yeah, if the human form has a time limit it will still be a story about vending machine reincarnation, just with much more human interaction. Turning him fully into a human (supposedly with keeping the vending machine as some kind of skill) would lose the main hook of the story. |

It was a fun concept, but the whole stat attribution and skill development went out the window by ep 3. At the end he was too much Deux Ex Machina-kun.
Novel, but I won't follow the series into season 2.
