It might be possible that the decision to produce this episode came in late? I mean, why make it a "Episode 0"?

I wonder if this is another case of the manga having taken some liberties compared to the LN. Manga gave Sylphie amnesia until that situation with the assassin, though I suppose it ultimately doesn't matter one way or the other.
I do agree that it felt like production on this episode might've come later than usual. It felt like there was almost no BGM, though I didn't make a conscious choice to make note of it throughout the entire episode so not positive. |

They did the same in Manga as well (they revealed the truth long before in it even compared to the LN). But for some odd reason, in the Manga they had Slyphie suffer from Temporary Amnesia, after the time she fell from the sky until the case with the assassination attempt. Not sure why the Author changed stuff in the Manga.

A good start. Surprised Sylphy didn't complain about losing her hair color, as that was something Rudeus liked on her. Kinda lost as to how much time is/has passed; obv Sylphy dropping out of the sky was during the big catastrophic event of ep 8, but other than that, its hard to tell during how much time was it after that point and the end of the ep. Well I guess it doesn't matter, since even more time has passed, most likely beyond the last season.
The fight scene was pretty good; about what I expect out of the series. They didn't make a hooplah about Sylphy killing someone like they did for Rudeus, so I'm glad we are spared that melodrama. Is the side story with Eris that was released at the end of the last season required viewing? Or just unimportant side story babble?

The animation was very rough. Unrelated but it took me way too long to figure out they were talking about nipples in the beginning.

It was nice to see Sylphie again, would be neat to see how she handles a reunion with Rudeus considering her newfound attachment to this princess. Unfortunate about the animation taking a hit; but as long as the story's good, I'm good.

It is more likely that the episode 0 only briefly mentioned in the original source, but anime staffs decide to make an episode out of it. The episode explains that the half elf's green hair turns to white hair after exhausting her mana. If she appears in her usual hair color, it will cause a panic among population. By the way, the blue hair and the red hair have more personal story than the green hair. The anime staffs may feel compel to make an episode to make a balance. Else, she would look like an unimportant side character of the show.

Apparently the CR version of ep 0 is censored. The one that was broadcast in Japan was not.

After watching ep 0, I ranted to a friend about how classic fantasy is just fine without any isekai bullshit, why is that shit so popular again, Sylphie main character let's go, and so on.
He immediately countered with "Okay dude, but didn't the episode start with Sylphie getting figuratively isekai'd?" Never lost an argument so fast, please help
