Shinya thought the portable home is a good idea. His action causes the panic to the kingdom. They will get an answer from visiting Schnee. Shinya is taking Schnee's disciple Tiera to a field practice. Shinya shows how to interrogate a bandit. Tiera gets uncomfortable. To cool off Shinya, she press his head against her breast. Her action puzzles other people. When she felt down, Schnee hug her. The situation is awkward. The other anime(In the Land of Leadale) makes those awkward moments more believable. It is also about the game becomes isekai after the server shuts down. The gamer who dies in the real life continues her legacy in the new world.
Also, Tiera is not the only character with multiple layered hair color. The girls with multiple layered hair color are the trend in this season's anime. |

I guess since this world is based on a videogame it's more understandable that there is a Japan-like country, with of course samurai and ninja. I wonder if there will also be fictional China or US as the bad guys.
I'm still not sure if the main heroine is supposed to be Schnee or Tiera, but not having both ending up with the protagonist woukd feel like a waste.

I thought Tierra was being a little silly. The group of people were talking about killing the guys then raping and killing the women... and she's put off by Shin being harsh? Yea, it's not normal for him, but I hardly think it warrants that kind of reaction. Especially as she barely knows the guy; it hasn't been that long since they met.

Ep8:
If I'm remembering correctly, I think this was my favorite part of the early story. I think the anime worked decently considering the quality of artwork they had to work with. If I can feel this way for a character I only seen for one anime episode, I think the anime people and the original writer did a good job. |

Me, as soon as ep starts: Aw s***, looks like the budget is nonexistent for this episode. There probably isn't a need for it anyway.
halfway through episode: D*** it, it looks like there WILL be a fight... maybe they needed to conserve time/budget for the fight during the "warmup": F***... guess the whole ep is going to be s***-tier[animation]. during the actual fight: OH snap! *pulls up seat The animation got good(for this series anyways =0b). Animation aside, it was a good episode. MC actually had to off his kin(subordinate) which wasn't easy to do. Shin said Giralt landed a blow on him, but that's probably because Shin forged brand new gauntlets for Giralt, but likely used some random weapon sitting in his stash for himself. Not saying that weapon was weak, but probably was of lesser quality than the gauntlets I feel. Plus he was holding back anyway. Still, it was a nice fight. Kinda surprised Giralt only had one episode though, but its good to just get it over with since it has a limited number of eps.

Yeah wow I totally forgot that we got to know him for just 1 episode, I even teared up a bit at the end there
It was as close to a perfect episode as is possible, heck I didn't even mind the animation quality since the story was engrossing enough for me

It was a really good episode.
Giralt was happy, and that's what matter the most. But still...it's sad losing a friend. I'm not sl used anymore to isekai protagonists wanting to go back to Earth, but Shin seems really determined, which seems to indicate that Schnee is destined to be a tragic heroine. But who knows, maybe he'll find a way to bring her with him.

Kinda reminds me of the older isekai when the expectation was that the characters lived an exciting adventure in another world and at the end went back to their ordinary lives, with the experiences they made helping them to be better person.
I'm curious to see how the author is going to handle the situation here so I think I'll check the source material after the anime ends.

Yeah, just don't end it like that very long isekai story that I read:
Main character went to another world, formed a powerful guild to get something to return to Earth. Conquered the deepest dungeon. Two women liked him but he didn't want to have a romantic relationship because he always intended on returning to Earth. He tries to sneak out of Guild to disappear so he doesn't have to say goodbye to anyone. Two or three of them catch him trying to sneak out while everyone is sleeping. They say promise us you'll return and visit us if it's ever possible. He says sure thing. Then the story says he returned to Earth and never came back. The End. What a completely flat, meaningless ending. |

I was being deliberately vague in case someone was reading it. I kind of figured they might have ended it that way because it got licensed.
There's no way for me to remember what the title was. I've saved hundreds of links so I don't read the same thing again, remember when I read it and know why I dropped it. There's no way of looking it up with so many similar titles around. I just noticed that my myanimelist listing says I stopped reading The New Gate because I didn't like the future story arcs. I stopped reading it inside of the fifth volume, but I have no idea what happened there. The anime will feel like reliving the story for the first time all over again. |

Man, the art seems to have taken a nosedive in the latest episode. Lots of shots where Shin and Tiera are looking funky. The artist must have a thing for Schnee though as I didn't see her drawn poorly at any point that I can recall, lol
When he met with the princess and she's like "the introduction letter from the Moon Sanctum helped" I was hoping he'd be like "well I own the Moon Sanctum so...." |

If she's proud enough to get whiney about how she isn't giving anything in return for all he's doing, you'd think when he made his cloying nice-guy platitude of a request she'd be like no, that's not enough. Besides, I don't need someone else to tell me to protect my people; I'd that anyway. Seems more what I'd expect from someone proud enough to make it an issue in the first place.
Speaking of the princess, I don't get why Shin is so shy about keeping his strength hidden. He's so OP that it doesn't matter; even if she did know his real strength and wanted to keep him in her country, it's not like she could. If anything, showing off how ridiculously overpowered you are would make a good deterrent - if she was smart, she wouldn't wanna piss you off lol I can understand isekai MCs keeping low profiles when they are not strong enough to enforce their will, but in his case he's worlds apart from everyone else so it doesn't seem necessary. (shrug) Oh, and I had to chuckle at the wardrobe malfunction. How in God's name did she not realize she was half naked? Not as bad though as in Iseleve when he doesn't even realize he went from fat slob to buff though, hehe. Speaking of Iseleve, I couldn't remember the name of the show. I was gonna Google, then I said "hey, everyone raves about ChatGPT, let's give it a whirl". Yea... it sucks at guessing anime lol. It took three tries and when it finally did get the right answer, it gave me some BS about violating terms of service; I guess it doesn't like Iseleve heh: Spoiler:

Can you imagine how mobbed he would be everywhere he went if he went public with how powerful he is? He wouldn't be able to accomplish much either as any enemy would immediately know where he is due to public reaction. He could conceal or disguise himself, but that would remove any advantages of going public. He would also warn the demons of his return and they do matter as far as power goes.
