I'm glad to see this get animated. More Haruhi-related anime is always a good thing, and Yuki is very moe in the manga of this.
Maybe J.C Staff will take this up? (Although KyoAni doing this would be fantastic).

Recent studios that Kadokawa have worked with include Ordet (possible due to the Yamamoto connection), asread (possible due to the producer Ito connection), Xebex, AIC Classic, and diomedia. One of those is likely to be the studio to animate this.

I'm personally hoping that they hand this one over to Ordet with a big fat check to cover animation. If they go for Xebec or Asread it may be ok but I wouldn't put much hopes on it. AIC... maybe, no idea. Anyway it won't be another disappearance in regards to quality that's for sure.

And I like the Little Busters anime. Refrain is certainly better than the 1st season, and Refrain has some of the best episodes of the Fall season.

Confirmed I have the mangas, and they're quite entertaining to read. Admittedly, I couldn't care less about who's animating it, as long as the characters give off the same feel as they did before.

Despite being a Yuki centric spin-off, doesn't Haruhi manage to come in and take the spot light again anyway?
Not discounting the possibilities of other studios or anything, but if it's not a proper tv season then I can see KyoAni fitting this in like what they did with the Haruhi-chan and Nyoro~n shorts before. Although I don't really know what their pipeline looks like for the immediate to near future, so maybe they could fit it in as a proper tv series afterall? I also don't care what trend their productions have been on as of late. Even before they started producing into their own LNs, their trend then sure wasn't indicative of it. Plus, it's not like breaking a trend will kill them or anything

I'm happy that the haruhi franchise it's not dead and I´m really exited with this new haruhi project maybe we could get the 3 season of haruhi. I don't mind who animates it as long as they make it great and with the same cast of seiyu.
This is going to be full chibi or the characters will be more normal?

Maybe the format of the show could open some window somewhere thinking in the factibility of Kyoani doing this.
I mean, I'm not one skilled in the art but still could say that short chapters mean less budget/productivity load compared to a traditional series. (?) If Kyoani is busy, as always busy lately, can that be a chance? The other thing -and speculating yet-- I could be wrong but the promotional image of Nagato was put aside from the latest promotions Kyoani. Spoiler:
Is that a Kadokawa site? Can they do that if Kyoani is not involved this time? Who owns image rights?

Nothing thus far has any indication that Kyoto Animation nor any other studio in particular is involved in the production of this anime series.
