So, will they use the same voice as Miku, or will they have new samples for each?

They are both Mikus, with different voice qualities. Haku sounds depressed while Neru sounds angry.

Haku sounds extremely weak and out of pitch, she started as a noob vocaloid user's result. But now you can find her singing deliberate off pitch songs, cute or funny its up to the individual.

BTW Play-Asia.com is now accepting Pre-Orders to the Asian version(which is actually the Japanese version with Chinese game manuals included) of Hatsune Miku: Project Diva on the Sony PSP:

http://www.play-asia.com/SOap-23-83-...j-70-3bg8.html

BTW this one's cheaper and if you reserve now there's a Hatsune Miku: Project Diva Figure(the Nendoroid Puchi Hatsune Miku) included in the package!! This one's sweet deal!!

A short promo has been uploaded on the official website, but you can watch it from other sources such as sega-channel on nicovideo.

From Famitsu:
http://www.famitsu.com/game/news/1223435_1124.html

And this is what happens when SEGA is serious...

Holy crap... I can't wait to get the game. And the Miku Puchi Nendoroid will complete my entire Miku figure collection, I've had every single figure of her including Hachune Miku.

SEGA has been doing great all the while, Phantasy Star Portable was the 11th best selling game in Japan last year, 1st was MH 2nd G, the rest of the top 10 was Nintendo. It makes Phantasy Star Portable the 2nd best selling PSP game.

You may want to place your pre-order fast then if you haven't already~ The NenPuchi will only come with the first shipment of the game.

I believe all the major online shops have it up for pre-order by now... Let me grab the links.

Play-Asia / NCSX / Himeya / HMV

PS: That's not a promo. It's short version of the game's OP.

I'm a bit confused by Play Asia. They specificy that you get the nendoroid with the asian version, but they don't say anything about it for the JP version.

Quoting from a thread on another forum.

Dear -------,

Thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.

I am sorry that there is no guarantee for the gift. There should be only a
distribution difference between the 2 versions.

If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

Best regards,

Play-Asia.com

Alright, Time to cancel my JPN version pre-order and pre-order the asian version! (On a second thought, i'll stick to the JPN version even if i'm confused and puzzled ,_,)

EDIT
If ever, anyone misunderstands (And i doubt it, and i have also no idea why i'm doing this but anyways), this is what i sent.

Will the Hatsune Miku Project Diva JPN version include the puchi figure or
will it only apply with the Asian version?

And what's the difference between the JPN version and Asian version
besides the price?
Personally I go with anywhere but Play-Asia if I want the pre-order bonus. Himeya will get it to you if they label that on the game's title. HMV will get it to you if you pre-order it early enough.

Oh, thank you for the reply! I actually had no idea that HMV ships games abroad too. Have bought books and CDs from them before but I just assumed they wouldn't ship games like Amazon.co.jp

New info!

Yep, they’re finally confirmed by PIAPRO to be in the game. This means that all Crypton Vocaloid (as in Hatsune Miku, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, Megurine Luka, KAITO and MEIKO) are in Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-. Along with this information, PIAPRO also revealed three new Hatsune Miku costumes. And of course, I’ll explain how the music editing feature in Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-, as well as a gameplay video with “The Secret Garden”, a song composed by Kousaki Satoru and Hata Aki, which is this game’s theme song. And a relatively new commercial. Read on after the break to view them all.

I don’t know what will they be in the game or wether or not they’ll be a costume for Miku. For some reason, KAITO’s model looked like a girl to me. So anyways, three more costumes for Hatsune Miku was revealed by PIAPRO, and you can see them above. I love all of them! I can’t choose which one’s the best one. And there are six more degigns that were accepted but haven’t been converted into a 3D model yet. You can view all accepted designs in here. As I have said before, there is a relatively new commercial on Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-, which showed off the music editing feature. You can also hear “The Secret Garden” in the commercial. You can see that video below.

So let me explain how the music editing works. From what I’ve heard, it lets you add your own music to be played in Hatsune Miku -Project DIVA-. The editing process is fairly simple. First, you select the buttons on your PSP that you would like to use in your song. Those buttons would then be numbered and you can place them in grids and position it and determine where it will come from. And then, you can just select a stage, a costume, and make Miku dance according to the presets available. And you’re done. You can see how it works below.

Select the button to be played in your song!

Determine its position and where it'll come from.

And choose how Miku will dance to that song.

Have they said if it will still get a UMD release, or will be an online download only, the way Patapon 2 is, or the Western release of Fate/Unlimited Codes will be?

Thanks.

*wonders if anyone will try to replicate this in the game, if the editor allows it...*

There are no special edition. You get the NenPuchi for pre-ordering the game.

As for Edit Mode, think of it as a combination of MikuMikuDance and StepMania. MMD in the sense that you can pick a stage and have your character dance according to you (so it's like, iM@S videos), and StepMania in the sense that you make your own rhythm game.
