I guess white mask in a wrapping black cloak is a reoccuring character design that's less common.
From the new trailer, Taokaka looks like a Wolverine and Felicia cross. Rachel has a more unique fighting style and definitely nothing from Slayer. Quite a unique style of fighting with moves put together from different types of styles.

Carl's an Australian who loves Violin and cheese, his sister is most important to him. He hates lies. Arachne gives me lots of Shuma-Gorath vibes.

lol like what I said, he's really large. I guess he was designed to be a strength type and not an agility type. That giant nail as well, doesn't look at all like an assasination weapon. Let's just say, he's a different ninja lol.
Generally the game doesn't look anywhere as fast as GG. The most agile character seems to be Noel, I haven't seen Lychee/Litchi in action though.

Can't wait, got bored of GG.
Incoporating this game into GG will make players feel like a rehash. Soulcalibur is very complex. A seasoned player will eat the button mashers. Last edited by bbduece; 2008-08-03 at 15:50. |

The game was released in USA AND JApan some days ago.
You can check these two places: srk.com or Dustloop That's if you want feedback and impressions from players. The two bosses are some kind of samurai and a mech musume. It seems like a long tradition for Arc systems to have females as final bosses. Here a video of them with some spoiler for the chinese girl ending. nicovideo link Their voice actors are uncredited. However, I am dropping one of two guesses about them. Haku-men: Takehito Koyasu? Nu-13: (from hearing her special dialogue with Ragna) Rie Kugimiya? Mai Nakahara? Misato Fukuen? PS: Daisuke Ishiwatari (the man behind Guilty Gear) is only credited for the music. Hence the character designs feels less outlandish than Guilty Gear. Last edited by Sheba; 2008-12-05 at 11:14. |

BluBlaze, no wonder I couldn't find it anywhere. The game is called: BlazBlue: Calamity Trigger. V-13 could be Kugimiya Rie, since she is currently voicing so many anime and games, but I am not so sure. Based on the battles, I can't hear anything at all, except the slashes and the battle cries.
http://jp.youtube.com/watch?v=CWHL3iIVbgI I didn't felt like loading a 10-min clip, so I loaded a much shorter one instead. The smashing of buttons seems to be louder than the game voices, not mentioning that the background makes a lot of strange noises at the same time. However, the voice of the character that greatly resembles a fusion girl from Guilty Gear does sound like Kugimiya Rie. |

Bleh...Guilty Gear this is not. The music is not exactly the fast-pace OMFG HEAD BANGING ROXORZ BOXORZ that GG is, and the gameplay nowhere near as utterly fantastic, even though the graphics are better.
GG is superior. And Ragna is NOT Sol. Nowhere NEAR as badass. |

Importing this game as well. I don't care if it's not named "Guilty Gear", I have a lot faith in Daisuke Ishiwatari and his fellows, since they've been the people who modernized the 2D fighting genre more than anyone else.
