I'm not so sure about that. Basara would absolutely be against NUNS using his song to neutralize Heinz while they attack their home world, but he'd probably get involved all on his own to stop the Var Syndrome and just to make them listen to his song.

I am pretty sure Basara just disappeared somewhere and nobody really knows what he's doing right now.
Although it could be interesting if Mikumo would be Basara and Sivil's daughter. Given the issues with using Fire Bomber in Macross I feel that'd be the only way we could get anything related to Basara into this show. |

I suspect it will be a bit of plot contrivance.
NUNS Leaders: Hurp durp, we'll send in a fleet composed entirely of Zentradi! Audience: <facepalm> BTW, have we seen a single Meltrandi be affected by VAR syndrome?

It seems normal humans also affected by Vars as well. I feel sorry for Freyja for seeing her home nation declared wars against entire galaxy. I bet she going to have conflicting feeling for this situation
I wonder how aerial knight and Roid react when they saw and found out that one of their people join Walkure. Do you think they will declare Freyja as traitor of their kingdom due to her joining Walkure? |

What does Windermere want to gain after declaring war?
Anyway both sides have the power of music that can affect the tempo of the battlefield. Windermere has Lord Heinz, whose singing can instigate Var Syndrome. Meanwhile, there is Walkure, who can counteract this. Windermere has the advantage of having their singer remain on the planet; whereas, Walkure has to be on location when the attack happens. The group has the risk of being injured in the ensuing onslaught. If any of the idols is injured, like Mikumo, Windermere can gain the advantage. However, Windermere has a weakness to worry about: Heinz's health. |

Windermere to gain after declaring war is most likely full access of Protocultuure technology as well as create centralized interstellar galactic government under their banner as they one of those against decentralization of government. OR there a hidden true reason behind it
Another Windermere advantage over NUNS is their main stay VF as Sv262 already shown superior to VF-171 and equal to VF-31 and based on delta series they got entire army of Draken |

These guys have got to be the most annoying galactic neighbors ever. I mean, sure, they can't hold grudges for all eternity like the Zentradi, but with a 30 year lifespan the cycle of societal idiocy eventually leading to war must be on some sort of hyperdrive loop; every 60 years they'll come back, and the old timers on the other side will wonder, "Didn't they learn their lesson last time? Oh wait, I guess all those guys are dead now..."

I'm kinda curious about Heinz and that health condition. I wonder how it came to manifest or if there's a cure to it? Hope we get some insight on that later on
Mikumo still proves to me as the most mysterious character in this show so far though. Nice song they used. The one they played for this week's episode and last week is my second favorite in this show now with Borderline obviously being the first.

They have a parliament where all reps have a say. They are probably debating if Windermere is to be spanked. The Kingdom of Wind are literally a bunch of Chuuni immature brats that has no clue how scary the galaxy is. They have full monarchy and nobility for crying out loud. Humanity has survived Zentradi Army, Protodevlin and Vajra. Oh they are still around and Humans generally prefer not to poke the bear. What does Windermere have to compare? Oh right nothing. To them doing something outrageous is better than doing nothing. Quote:

Here's a dirty strategy I thought of:
Reverse-Engineer the negative fold waves Heinz produces into a song that can afflict only Windermerans with Var Syndrome. If Walkure can stabilize Var Syndrome, surely they can also create it. Quote:

Lets see how the story unfold. But my gut tells me the two factions will wind up working together eventually. Either that, or we will have GATE in Space... Seriously, the NUNS combined fleet is very conservatively estimated to possess half-million front-line vessels. This is what the Windies are going up against. Quote:
