I know this thread is old but I was searching for a wrestling thread and want to give my two cents. I watched wrestling for 18 years and still do. From ECW to WWE. I miss blood and chairshots to the head. I wish TV-14 rating comes back. I hate the PG era so much. But I do enjoy the matches and some of the new wrestlers. 1999 to 2006 were the days, back when WWE was amazing, back when wrestling was not for kids and back when WWE had attractive girls.
I will always rot for one man no matter what. The champ is here! Last edited by Maraul; 2014-06-29 at 19:56. |

It's one of those days when you realize how old you have become when one of your childhood heroes in the game retires. The Undertaker has given me lots of great wrestling memories, especially in his American Badass/Rollin' version around 2000-2003.
One of the biggest pops I've ever witnessed with 'Taker: (look at 2:52) |

nah... Seth Rollins needs to be the one. He is at the peak with his current gimmick and most over guy with the crowd reaction he gets anywhere. Hope they find something good for LA Knight too, dude is red hot right now.

Terry Funk is also gone at the age of 79.
With Funk, you got to value him. People say he was on borrowed time for the last 20 years. But he got to do everything he wanted and even spoke a bit on the most recent season of Dark Side of the Ring. Mick Foley sure as hell got torn up over his time finally ending. Bray Wyatt...it always felt like it kind of clicked but never did. Also...a heart attack at 36 is just...yikes. In brighter news, CM Punk is making Twinkletoes McFingerBang and the Hardly Boys fume every week while good old MJF still rules the roost.

To those who’ve haven’t been watching AEW, they made two major signings in the past few months: Edge and Will Osprey(?).
Also, ROH signed Ronda Rousey this week. Speaking of ROH, Tony Khan, AEW’s owner, acquired the company from Sinclair Broadcast Group. Finally, Impact Wrestling will change its name back to TNA Wrestling next year.

Tony Khan let the Hardly Boys rule the roost with Twinkletoes McFingerbang and look what it got him. MJF will be gone once his contract is over. If anyone had said CM Punk would be back in the WWE by the end of the year, early in the year people would have doubted it but not dismissed it. Wonder if he'll get to plug the muffins on his return. Hope he gets to do something with Ilya Dragunov.
