Awesome showing with a little awkwardness on the space marines design here. I'm just curious to see what gameplay they'll roll with.
Still feels great to see this again after so long of waiting.

After several years of long wait it is finally here.
I can finally return to my new and improved spreading of Imperial Creed to wider galaxy. 3 races so far, not bad start... they will probably add more later on. Angelos returns and he is full of cybernetics - meaning that Retribution Space Marine campaign is the canonical one. And Gorgutz and Masha are always nice welcome ( maybe we will now finally know if Guard really won Kaurava conflict ). Base building and large battles with DoW II graphics? I am already bought by Relic and SEGA. I just hope they will not mess it up like they did Soulstorm... ;_; |

And no.... Riptide is NOT a titan - it's just giant battle suit. And one that can be easily rip apart by Imperial Knight on range or in cc. And judging how DoW II was same like CoH tactic wise, where you also had unique armies, I have no doubt that DoW III will be with those mechanics but with bigger army. I would not take this trailer seriously as it serves only for commercial purpose. Space Marines dying that easily and in droves? Someone must have replaced them with Imperial Guardsmen. |

Tau dont have any appearance in DoW II because they can't came out with three commander archtype. But now after their codex update they can. If DoW III use DoW II three commander archtype then it will be battle suit commander, Stealthsuit commander and Fireblade commander. Tau cheesy in DoW I? Because DoW I CC mechanic is crap. |

If that is the case I want my Imperator Titan. xD Quote:
And it's not like the Relic cannot invent some commander archtypes for the game. But the truth is that Tau did not appear in DoW II because sub-sector Aurelia is probably very far from the eastern fringe where Tau is located. And seeing how Tau need few weeks to get from T'au to borders of their Empire at their maximum ship speed it is of no surprise why they didn't appear in the game. Quote:
And I am primarily a Guard player. xD And I do agree that CC is bad, the strongest armies in DoW were literally the one with the best firing troops and those are Tau and Imperial Guard. |

Except all of these you mentioned are low level FW units. Same like the Guard who has Baneblade which is strong but nothing like Titans or even heavier versions of the same vehicle.
Tau'nar is high level and I doubt it will be in the game. I think Riptide will be for sure as an heavy special option for Tau. But nothign heavier than that. That is is they even include Tau now, the way I see it Tau may come but in one of the expansion aka Winter Assault, Dark Crusade and Soulstorm style. This is smart marketing move, add only 3 races to see how it will be received and add more later on if the game is successful. But I think it is a mistake to not include Chaos faction again in the 1'st version, I thought they learned that mistake from Dawn of War II launch. |

A part of me tells me that Focus Home Interactive might succeed SEGA as a WH 40K game publisher, since the franchise began to bloom this year with Battlefleet Gothic: Armada and Space Hulk: Deathwing.
