I'm starting to feel like a stick-in-the-mud on these forums, because I'm not at all optimistic about this dub. For one thing, I'm not big on Vic Mignogna; I find his voice rather, uh...irritating. Horribly so. Plus, the Japanese cast of Ouran was so good that there is no way the English cast can measure up, as far as I'm concerned. So, basically, I'm a bit iffy on this one.

Watch the first 2 episodes here:
http://www.funimation.com/f_index.cfm?page=videos That is, by far, one of the funniest dubs I have ever listened! Since I never saw any of the fansubs, I might consider this one.

But it could be worse. He could have a voice like Tamaki. His dub is just painful. |

I wasn't sure when i first heard about them dubbing Ouran, mainly because I love the anime so much and never wanted to see anyone destroy it (mentioning no names *cough*4kids*cough*). However hearing Funimation had got it eased my worries, I trusted Funimation to do theyr absolute best on this dub. And, having now watched the first episode on their website, i'm glad they got it. True enough Tamaki's voice is annoying and theyr pronouncing names differently, but Haruhi's is spot on! and theres barely an edit in sight! except for one and i'm pretty sure its not all that big a deal.

I'm pretty sure the only edits they've done is the fact that the credits and title-cards are now written in english, which FUNi does with all their shows these days. And if that was the one you were referring to as well, then yeah, it doesn't really matter. The english titles are direct translations of the japanese ones anyway. Of course, I can't be entirely sure, being that I hadn't seen the series at all before I got the DVD a few days ago, but I'm pretty sure I'd see someone complaining about it if they edited anything.
