Since I'm on a three week vacation from work, I decided to finally make a Zazie Rainyday sig. She's probably one of my favorite characters from Negima... although she doesn't get enough screen time. So out of boredem, here's the new Zazie set:
I'm still debating whether or not I'm going to sport it... if not, I'll leave it up here for display purposes.

ooo zazie! it looks really nice but i have to say that the quality of your stock is really bad >.< the edges are pixilized and her hair seems like youve put some diffusion blending in...the background while nice is all too plain ~ too may white patches covering about 50% leaves it feeling rather empty ~ and i dont think that the double thickness border works in this case >.<

hmmm, don't know if that render is fan art or not but I intended the bg to be minimal brushing. I couldn't feather the render any further or it would lose edge definition. I didn't put any diffusion but a very light drop shadow. As for the border, I always use that style border with all my work I think lol... Well I can finally say I made a Zazie sig... although it's hard to find some good renders of her.

Really well done the backgrounds. The render blends in very well to. Quote:
Your really improving a lot since your early works. Keep up the good stuff. As for the zazie edges. You could always try with Erase tool and Clone stamp to make it look better. But it's quite a pain and most of the time not worth it. Just don't forget to copy the render before you start playing with the clone/erase tool

One style I want to learn is smudging. I've always liked the way they look when it's compiled well. As for my other work, I think I do better in requests than when I rip out some for myself.

Well this is my first attempt using c4d and smudging. It's a lot different from my normal brushing but it's something new to learn. I don't think I'll stick with it but I just wanted to see what the outcome would be:
Last year's brushing:

Yeah, I figured that so I only erase bits and parts from her face and hand. I didn't want to erase too much because then it will look like I just slapped the render onto the bg. Well maybe one more lol... we'll see.

lol, it wasn't official... you officially took his request. As for easing into c4d, it's so different. I'm used to brushing my own bg's but this is just totally different. I'm going to try another one maybe this weekend. We'll see.

The Shinku one turned out pretty nice. The last one mm. The font doesn't seem to match very wel. Goodluck with your next C4d. And meh.. i usually use feather or erasing to make things blend in better. If it still doesn't look good i start my layer soft light/Overlay whoring once again as you might notice

You know what's funny is I read it wrong the first time you posted it. I thought you provided those pics as fan art for Zazie. But anways, Yes I'll be able to take your request. Sorry it's taken a while, I just re-read is the other day. Today I have to work on a flash intro for a project I have a meeting for tomorrow, so I might not get to it today. But for sure I'll have it done. Now do you want two different sigs, one for each image?

Anyone have some c4d tutorials? i cant really use c4d that well, and wouldn't mind giving it a shot.
Anyways, i like both of Wing, The shinku one is slick, the background fits really well with the render. the text is a bot hard to see, but i suck at text, so dont go with critique there. i liked both of them. |
