Apparently, its content was way beyond what Funimation ever licensed before. IR's content was far more explicit than High School DxD, The Testament of Sister New Devil, and Valkyrie Drive: Mermaid combined.

I don't get why Funimation even licensed this series in the first place.

But they are showing the censored version, right? not that shown on AT-X.

It is hard to believe that a Japanese terrestrial channel (Tokyo MX) RESPECT more fans than a streaming channel.

Well, this last ep might have been part of it too.

Spoiler for if you waited for a translation:

The Lilim kind of lost their punch a bit in the animation. The animators put effort into making them look "cute", which they really shouldn't have done here, and they drew things out too much. From the manga I imagined the horde shrieking incessantly in a cacophonous roar of infinite sexual gluttony, shouting insults at the guys without any pause or gap between them as they let out their anger and contempt at their hesitation. That, and honestly this part worked better without visuals, because these animators just weren't creative enough to make it really look like "torture". Basically, it's a scene that I'd say works much better done fast, without time to catch your breath. Oh well, I still liked the receptionist's warning at the start: "It doesn't matter how much you scream or cry or pee, they're not letting go and I'm not going to go in after you. They'll keep going until they're satisfied they've taken everything."

But yeah, Funimation probably couldn't show a sex-crazed demon slamming her apparently soaked crotch against a window (shown from behind but there's a lot of splatter) while shouting insults and demanding the guys show they've got a pair by coming in and letting them violate them. And even if they could, they probably couldn't show roast beef with the perfect shape of THAT imprinted on it, much less Crim LICKING down there.

^ Yeah, Funimation must've forgotten how this community started. We were Fansubbing well before streaming was a thing. All this means is going back to the good old days.
