Ugh..I guess I have to say it...Been feeling it for quite sometime, but I didn't want to admit it to myself...
I miss the previous format of Gintama T_T...I thought I was gonna love when they got to this hardcore part and we got to see Gintoki fight his eyepatch homie then his "master"...I can't put my finger on it because its still pretty cool, but I don't know... Something is missing...Maybe the comedy is less organic or the shifts between when its supposed to be serious and not-serious...but for a while I've felt like something has been off, unlike the earlier seasons when tragedy and comedy flowed so effortlessly (Could it just be the setting?)... EDIT: LMAO, I wrote this before watching the latest episode...Man did that ending speak to my post...Gintoki literally said "You're messing with peoples' heads because (the series) is getting too serious..." And that's what it feels like, how they tacked on that hilarious ending xD...

Umibozu's past sure was interesting. I love how Sorachi can mix serious and silly moments so naturally. All these jokes about boners, then Umibozu goes and says something like "calm down. I've already sprayed my seeds, my best ones in fact *cut to Kagura and Kamui*."

When I first read Umibouzu in his youth in the manga, I was reminded of this: (Should be familar to Chinese viewers)
Sadly, his anime form isn't as cool as that. Too dorky for my taste. Last edited by Peanutbutter; 2017-02-28 at 21:51. Reason: Replaced image link |

New trailer with big spoilers
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C2FcjpJNPZE I wonder if they will actually adapt the final arc in the same type as our Gorilla sensei finishes the manga. |

CHiCO with Honeyworks is performing next cour's OP. I loved Pride Kakumei, so this is great news. On the other hand, this pretty much confirms that this is the last season of Gintama. Mixed feelings, since this means the manga will most likely be ending before June. Will the Gorilla be able to wrap everything up nicely in time? I hope he isn't forced to rush the manga's ending to match the anime's schedule...

I dun still get how will they animate the next arc, especially since they are still in the middle of it, and probably can last for another 50-100 chapters at the current pace.
My best guess is they will probably find a stopping point in the next arc, and give Gorilla more time to finish. P.S: Manga is currently on a break after latest manga chapter, and that adds up too. |

In Kekkai Sensen, Kugimiya Rie voiced 2 characters who were siblings, one male and one female.
Here, Kugimiya is the voice for both Kagura and her mother, so all conversation between the two are done by just one person. I don't know how payment for seiyuu works, so does this mean it's more work for Kugimiya? Or does she get paid separately for both characters? Either way, it would seem that she's the only seiyuu that has done this in recent series, not including minor characters or cameos that appear only briefly in a particular series.
