As complex and inscrutable as this series is, it's starting to boil down to one question for me. Is it right that carnivores have to live an existence that denies their essential nature? Answering that, of course, depends on what you believe Itagaki is trying to say with this premise metaphorically speaking.

My feeling is it's probably not a good idea to listen to love advices from a lonely old man I mean animal.
I really want to go to JP for some Beastars collectibles. I should have taken a picture of the life size cuts out displayed in front of 1010 in Ginza last month. (Didn't pay attention much to the series then.) |

Although they didn't do that, I enjoyed seeing Legosi's complete ignorance of that wolf and go directly to confess to Haru his feelings. Now I see season 2 might focus more on the thing that made him berserk.

Awww sweet Legosi, how I love thee.
From being anime of the season, Beastars gradually became my anime of the year. It's one of the best shows I've seen in my 22 years of being an anime fan. The wait will be long for season 2. |

Its on Netflix as an English dub now. I was curious enough that I decided to read a few chapters of the manga before watching... and then twelve hours later it was 5 in the morning and I'd gone through 166 chapters... then I passed out some point after watching the anime.
I'm into it.

I can't help it... But the Panda screams "Duke Nukem" into my face for some reason >>
Moreover... Why does Juno make me think her name is actually Katsura and that there will be a boat involved in the last episode?

I still think it's going to end with her, a yacht and a duffle bag. Also what kind of crap does she have to take?
That being said it would be boring if she just gave up after season 1, where she hunter-jumped two herbivores too. I also doubt Ruis is actually dead, he did have a gun after all.

Let's just say people don't take too kindly to romantic rivals or people who get in the way of ships.
And I hate they removed the scene that first showed Louis had a gun when he got scratched by Bill. Would have made the Episode 11 twist make more sense.

I saw this on Netflix for a while, but didn't watch it until now. I read a few comments on here to see what people thought of it. The wolf grabbing the rabbit and "going against his nature" sounded interesting, so I watched the netflix preview. Looked better than I though so I watched the first episode. Then it snowballed from there . Very entertaining production, and they hardly scratch the surface of its world, as most of it is within the school. Can't wait to see what s2 brings =03!
